The huge difference of mobile data traffic demand in different time and space results in a large amount of capacity redundancy after deploying mobile communication network. Some previous researches proposed that operators could use redundant capacity to transmit non critical delay tolerant data. Therefore, operators introduced secondary traffic to improve the network utilization and create new benefits, however,it also increased the operation cost due to additional transmission energy consumption and wireless interference.Since the relationship between price, traffic size and operation cost are complex and nonlinear,it is critically important to design a reasonable pricing strategy for operators to make profits in the operation of secondary traffic. In some previous studies, they investigated the secondary traffic pricing problem in the single base station scenario with adapting the traffic characteristics of the base station. However,in large-scale networks, there are great difference in the primary traffic characteristics for each base station,In our paper,we study the secondary traffic pricing problem in the multi base stations and multi users large-scale network,in addition,we analyze the commercial feasibility of secondary traffic operation of the entire network. The main contribution of this paper are as follows:First, based on the stochastic geometric model and the primary traffic prediction model of large-scale mobile communication network,we analyze the optimal pricing and maximum profit of secondary traffic operation under different network parameters. The models show that the optimal secondary traffic pricing can be obtained, which maximizes the operators'profits, when changes parameters such as,user's average demand for secondary traffic and main traffic, user's sensitivity to traffic pricing, density ratio of base station to user distribution, and the number of active users in base station coverage, etc. The analysis results show that the optimal secondary traffic pricing is roughly linear with the average main traffic of the entire network, and the slope of the straight line is directly proportional to the density ratio of the distribution of base stations and users, and the average demand of users for secondary traffic.Secondly, operators consider adopt the time-domain traffic balancing technology to smooth the traffic load,In this paper,we analyze the impact of the average demand of users for secondary traffic and primary trafic, the distribution density ratio of users and base stations, the pricing of secondary traffic and slot of time on operator's cost, revenue and profit under the condition of single slot and multi slot load balancing. The results show that load balancing has little effect on the relationship between pricing and profit,so we can refer to the scenario of no load balancing when calculating the optimal pricing strategy. The theoretical analysis of this paper can provide useful reference for the traffic management strategy of mobile communication operators.
