In recent years,with the rapid development of optical fiber sensing technology,optical fiber sensors play an important role in more and more areas.Optical fiber sensors have been successfully applied to medical diagnostics,environmental monitoring,aerospace and large-scale structure of health monitoring and other fields,with their unique advantages,such as small size,high sensitivity,anti-electromagnetic interference,long-distance real-time online monitoring and so on.With the development of fiber optic sensor applications,the researches put forward higher requirements on its performance.Especially in some weak signal detection fields,fiber optic sensors need to have a higher sensitivity to detect weak signals.However,fiber optic sensors are inevitably affected by external noise,especially in underwater environments,fluid noise.they will directly affect the sensitivity of its sensing.How to extract weak signals from complex noise is the key technology for the fiber optic sensors.In the present study,the improvement of the sensitivity of the optical fiber sensor is limited by the actual preparation process.Meanwhile,it is limited by the fundamental pressure detection limit.Therefore,it is necessary to develop a highly integrated sensing sensor system with high sensitivity to break through the minimum pressure detection limit,improve the signal-to-noise ratio of the sensor,and realize the weak signal detection with high sensitivity.In recently,the metamaterials has attracted the attention of researchers because of its unique physical properties of the artificial structural.The structure of the metamaterial is designed to artificially manipulate the energy field of electromagnetic,acoustics,etc.The metamaterial has a wide range of research fields.The metamaterials have outstanding advantages in achieving acoustic invisible,acoustic negative refraction,super-diffraction imaging,electromagnetic black hole and so on.It also provide new method and way for meeting the demand of higher sensitivity optical fiber sensing.In acoustic filed,the metamaterial structure can effectively control the sound waves,and help improve the signal to noise ratio of the sound field without damaging the sound field.If fiber sensor integrated metamaterials,it will be improve the sensitivity of the optical fiber sensor system.In this paper,the sound field is controlled by acoustic metamaterials which is used to improve the sensitivity of fiber optic sensors.Firstly,the development trend and theoretical basis of optical fiber sensing technology and metamaterials are introduced.The introduction of optical fiber acoustic sensing includes the principle of fiber optic sensor sensor and signal demodulation technology.The transformation acoustic principle is the key content in the introduction.Secondly,the acoustic pressure amplification phenomenon of the resonant acoustic metamaterial is researched,and the acoustic metamaterial model is constructed.Through the underwater experiment,the sound field is effectively detected and the resonant frequency and power response information are obtained.Furthermore,a non-resonant acoustics metamaterial with wave compression and pressure amplification is designed for the the underwater environment.The sound pressure amplification phenomenon provides another possibility for the improvement of the sensitivity of the fiber optic sensing system.In this paper,the structure of metamaterial is designed to study the regulation of sound field.The research work has important guiding significance for promoting the development of metamaterials and improving the sensitivity of the optical fiber sensor.
