As an output language skill,writing is an important indicator to measure the comprehensive language ability of English learners,and its importance is self-evident.However,in sharp contrast to its importance,writing has always been the weakness of English teaching in senior high schools.How to effectively evaluate writing and integrate teaching and learning has always been a vital issue in writing teaching.Currently,static assessment still dominates in writing instruction,concentrating merely on writing results rather than writing process,which hinders the development of students' writing ability.Recently,dynamic assessment has caught the spotlight in second language teaching.With a great breakthrough of traditional assessment,dynamic assessment is characterized by its integration of evaluation and teaching as well as the focus on intervention and interaction.On the basis of this,this research applies dynamic assessment to English writing teaching in senior high schools,attempting to explore the effectiveness of dynamic assessment in senior high school English writing teaching.This study selected 83 third-year students as subjects from Shihua No.1 High School,which is located in Anqing,Anhui province and conducted a one-semester experiment,aiming to answer the following research questions:(1)What are the influences of Dynamic Assessment on students' English writing attitude?(2)What is the effectiveness of Dynamic Assessment on students' English writing strategy?(3)What is the effectiveness of Dynamic Assessment on students' English writing performance?Questionnaire,pre-test,post-test and interview were utilized to collect and analyze the data and information.All the data were submitted to SPSS.26.0 to draw a conclusion.The results demonstrate that:(1)Dynamic assessment has positive influences on students' English writing cognition,writing emotion and writing behavioral tendency.(2)Dynamic assessment heightens students' awareness of using writing strategies in various stages of English writing.Moreover,students make great progress in using writing strategies in revision stage.(3)With intervention practice of dynamic assessment,significant improvement is observed in accurate language,substantive content and logical organization,thus students make significant headway in writing performance.This study displays that dynamic assessment has positive effectiveness in English writing instruction,providing a reference for how to conduct dynamic assessment English writing teaching in senior high schools.The present study is also constrained by several factors,such as the limited research subjects,the short duration of the research and writing genre.It is hoped that the follow-up researches can be further optimized to contribute new achievements to dynamic assessment English writing teaching.
