In the core literacy of Chinese students,it is proposed that students should have t he ability and consciousness of independent learning and lifelong learning."Teaching students to learn"has become an educational concept with the characteristics of The Times.Mathematics textbooks,as the carrier of teaching,are the key to cultivating st udents’independent learning ability.Although scholars at home and abroad have done a lot of research on"mathematics reading",the empirical research on the reading abili ty of mathematics textbooks is slightly weak.Therefore,this research has certain theo retical and practical significance to investigate students’reading ability of mathematic s textbooks.This study with high students as the research object,using the literature,investig ation and hierarchical analysis first constructed contains three level indicators and 10secondary indicators of high students mathematics textbook reading ability evaluation index system.Then,on the basis of the evaluation index system,the test volume and the survey questionnaire are compiled to investigate the status quo of students’mathe matics textbook reading ability and its influencing factors.The main conclusions are as follows:1.Survey status:At present,the overall reading ability of mathematics textbooks of students in high school is not high,but they performs well in some indicators.For t he primary indicators,the students scored the lowest"comprehensive understanding"and"character recognition"the best,still requiring further strengthening,the worst ab ility to"identify mathematical graphics","analysis and reasoning"and"summary",an d the worst ability to convert symbolic language into written language.Gender is not t he reason that affects students’reading ability of mathematics textbooks.The reading ability of high school students in different levels and different levels of mathematics s tudy varies significantly.There is a positive correlation between the reading ability of mathematics textbooks of high school students and their mathematics academic perfor mance.2.Impact factors:although students’interest in mathematics textbook reading att itude,habits,understanding,strategies and motivation all affect their mathematics tea ching material reading ability,but the reading habits and strategies is the main factors,through the analysis of the regression equation model for:y=16.613+1.8491+3.0112,which y says the students’mathematics teaching material reading ability,1said reading habits,2said reading strategy.3.Reading strategy:analyze the strategy of improving students’reading ability o f mathematics materials from the perspective of students,teachers and schools,and ex plore the strategy of improving students’reading ability of mathematics materials wit h the textbook content of the section"tilt Angle and slope of straight lines"as the carr ier.
