This study mainly used literature research method,experimental research method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and other research methods,A study of problem chain teaching strategies applied to STSE teaching in high school chemistry.Guided by the Sequential Principle,Scaffolded Instruction Theory,Five Elements of Instructional Design Theory,and the "ARCS" model of motivational design,The design principles of problem chains,the types of problem chains and the implementation steps of problem chain teaching strategies applied to STSE teaching in high school chemistry were explored.Based on the design principles,types of problem chains and specific implementation steps,a semester-long teaching practice was carried out.The results show that the rational application of problem chain teaching strategy to STSE teaching in high school chemistry helps create a systematic and efficient classroom learning environment,promotes students' diversified and multi-faceted development,and helps teachers' professional quality development.
