With the continuous reform of basic education,renewing educational ideas and teaching models has become the focus of educational reform and an important way to cultivate students' comprehensive quality.The idea of STEAM education is interdisciplinary,which plays a positive role in promoting the cultivation of students' comprehensive ability.PBL teaching mode is guided by problems in real situations,which can cultivate students' ability to solve practical problems.This study used a variety of research methods such as questionnaires and interviews.Interviews and questionnaires are utilized to obtain the present situation of teaching of organic chemistry in high school,teachers and students surveyed and analyzed their attitudes towards PBL teaching under the STEAM concept.According to the theory of constructivism,situated cognition theory,the learning transfer theory and the basis of the theory of the zone of proximal development,PBL teaching mode under the STEAM concept is constructed,and carried out practical research in high school organic chemistry.This model includes three stages: pre-class preparation,in-class teaching and after-class improvement,each stage has its corresponding teaching link.The conclusion that not only students' learning style can be changed by PBL teaching mode based on STEAM concept but also students' problem-solving ability and innovation ability can be enhanced by PBL teaching mode is showed in this research.The learning performance of organic chemistry as well as core chemical quality can be cultivated by PBL teaching mode.
