In order to further promote a new round of curriculum reform,the teaching and assessment of core mathematics competencies have gradually become a research hotspot in the field of mathematics education.In the stage of compulsory education,intuitive imagination competencies are mainly manifested in the comprehensive application of geometric intuition and spatial concept,which is an important bridge between architectural abstract mathematical problems and the concrete graphics.Focusing on the evaluation of mathematical intuitive imagination competencies,taking 1058 eighth-grade students as the research object,and comprehensively using the methods of literature research,testing,statistical analysis and other methods,this research constructs a three-dimensional evaluation framework for junior high school students’ intuitive imagination competencies,and designs an "Eighth-Grade Students’ Intuitive Imagination Literacy Test Paper" as an assessment tool to evaluate on the development status of the intuitive imagination competencies of eighth-grade students,and then puts forward teaching suggestions.The main contents are as follows:First,construct an evaluation framework for the mathematical intuitive imagination competencies of junior high school students.First of all,the connotation of the intuitive imagination competencies of junior high school students and the specific definition of the competencies level are defined by literature analysis.Then combined with the standards of Mathematics Curriculum in China,the content of junior high school mathematics textbooks and the characteristics of cognitive development of junior high school students,the evaluation framework of junior high school students’ mathematical intuitive imagination competencies are constructed from the three dimensions of "content,structure and process".Second,the designing of the evaluation tools are based on the evaluation framework and conducting tests.The test paper and scoring criteria are determined by means of expert consultation,combing with the opinions of mathematics education experts in universities and front-line mathematics teachers.Through the analysis of the pre-test results,the test questions are optimized and improved.Finally,the formal test tool is generated and the formal test is carried out to evaluate the development status of mathematical intuitive imagination competencies of the eighth-grade students.Third,collect and analyze the test results and put forward teaching suggestions.The results show that:(1)The development of eighth-grade students’ intuitive imagination competencies are generally at the middle level;(2)There is a significant difference in development of the intuitive imagination competencies between urban and rural students.And the urban is better than the rural;(3)There is no significant difference between the development of intuitive imagination competencies and gender;(4)There is a strong correlation between the development of intuitive imagination competencies and students’ daily mathematics test scores,which is moderately correlated with students’ love of mathematics and teachers’ teaching method,and is weakly correlated with students’ thinking style and willpower.Afterwards,based on the results of data analysis,reasonable suggestions are put forward to scientifically cultivate the intuitive imagination competencies of junior high school students.
