Geography research travel is an educational and teaching metho d for the extension and expansion of geography teaching,but therea re problems such as resource types and infrastructure mismatches in the process of development.Well-developed rural tourism can allevi ate and solve these problems,but combining the two The content of combined research is less.In order to study how to use rural touris m resources to better promote the development and progress of geo graphic research travel,taking Liupanshui City,Guizhou Province,which has a good foundation for rural tourism development,as the research area,on the basis of sorting out its rural tourism resources and investigating the status of geographic research travel In the abo ve,typical rural tourism regions are selected,and an empirical study of geographical research travel is carried out in combination with th e high school geography curriculum standards and textbook content.This further verifies the feasibility of geographic research travel res earch based on rural tourism resources,and can help the developme nt of geographic research travel to a certain extent,enriching the e xperience of combining the two.And from the research,it puts for ward relevant strategies for the development purpose and basis of u sing rural tourism resources to carry out geographical research trips,students’ safety and other issues.And put forward corresponding sug gestions from the perspectives of geography teachers and the rural t ourism industry,hoping to provide some reference for the developm ent of geography research trips.
