As an emerging information technology in recent years,VR virtual reality technology has gradually entered the public view.In recent years,VR technology has developed rapidly in the entertainment industry.In addition,VR technology has also been applied in many areas that people are familiar with,such as automobile virtual simulation software,housekeeping software,etc.Although there are few applications of VR technology in the field of education in China,the combination of information technology and education has become an inevitable trend in the information age.This study combines VR technology with basketball technology teaching,and uses teaching experiment method to test the feasibility and effectiveness of VR technology in basketball technology teaching,and clarifies the strategies and precautions of VR technology in basketball technology teaching.The purpose of this study is:to explore the role and influence of VR virtual reality technology on basketball technology teaching.Through the teaching intervention of the experimental group for 15 weeks,the feasibility and effectiveness of the application of VR technology in basketball technology teaching are tested.On the other hand,through practice,the strategies and precautions of the application of VR technology in basketball technology teaching are clarified.Methods:This study selected 40 students of 985 high school in Longli County,Qiannan Prefecture,Guizhou Province as the experimental subjects,and divided them into intervention group(n = 20)and control group(n = 20).The intervention group was intervened twice a week for 15 weeks.The intervention group was intervened by VR teaching,and the control group was taught by traditional physical education teaching mode without any intervention.Before and after the experiment,the subjects were tested for 1 minute 30 seconds of self-shooting,in-situ shooting,full-field comprehensive dribbling and other related data.Results: After the end of the experiment,the basic basketball skills test of the intervention group and the control group were improved compared with that before the experiment.The t-test results of the students’ skills scores before and after the experiment in the intervention group showed(P<0.05),and the results before and after the experiment in the control group(P>0.05).After the experiment,the basketball technical scores of the two groups were tested by T test(P<0.05)except for the left and right hand dribble return items.After the experiment,the questionnaire feedback results showed that most of the students in the intervention group had a positive evaluation of VR teaching,and there was a difference in the evaluation of classroom teaching effect between the two groups after the experiment.Conclusion :(1)after the 15-week experiment,the test results of the two groups were analyzed,and the results showed that the scores of the basic basketball skills test of the two groups were significantly improved,and both teaching methods could promote the skill level of students.(2)Although the skill development level of the control group improved before and after the experiment,the difference was not statistically significant.(3)The skill scores of students in the intervention group were significantly different before and after the experiment.The mean score difference was statistically significant before and after the experiment.VR technology can greatly improve the skill level of students.(4)There was a statistically significant difference in scores between the two groups after the experiment,indicating that there was a statistical correlation between VR technology and students’ skill level.(5)Compared with traditional teaching methods,the application of VR technology has no obvious effect on the intervention of left and right hand dribble return practice.(6)A small number of students who have been exposed to 3D videos or games will have 3D vertigo and other side effects when using VR equipment.(7)There are differences between the two groups of students in teaching feedback evaluation after the experiment.VR teaching method can promote students’ interest in learning in class more than traditional teaching method.More popular with students.
