There are 50 important concepts in “Compulsory Education Biology Curriculum Standard(2011 Edition)”.It points out they are the center of junior biology teaching and how important they are.Zhao Zhanliang,the director and general’,specialized for biology teaching in the Chinese Society of Education,points out that these important concepts are equivalent to the core concepts in the interpretation of “Curriculum Standards”.Based on the present situation of the teaching of the core concepts in our school and the area around us,I take the followings as my theoretical basis,the five basic elements of the core concepts teaching.Four basic steps and the teaching design of the index.I did my research on the five main lines,aiming at teaching practice the general process related to the concepts’ teaching,the preparation process of my teaching design,the reflection and evaluation after my teaching.This research combined the methods of action research,case study and classroom observation.In the course of a semester in four classes of Grade Seven in my school are the subjects in my study.In this paper,I have sorted out the core concepts contents during my research and prepared the Junior high school biology teaching design.I have also made the implementation and reflection of the teaching design in the four classes I taught.On the basis of reflection,I made adjustment of the instructional design.I evaluated the learning situation of junior middle school students’ biology core concept by questioning and testing them in the classroom.I have found that students can build and understand the core concepts better.
