In the actual teaching process,the author found that students have a high error rate when solving mathematical application problems,and different students make different mistakes in different types of application problems.Mainly focus on elementary school application problems,and there are few researches on the problem solving of high school mathematics application problems.This research mainly studies some problems that have not been studied in high school mathematics application problem solving.This research mainly adopts the methods of literature analysis and investigation.Firstly,relevant articles on solving and teaching of applied mathematics problems are selected from the literature,and the current research status of solving applied mathematics problems is summarized;The students in each class and the high school mathematics teachers of the school are the research objects,and the current situation of high school students' problem solving is analyzed by distributing the questionnaire and the test paper of high school mathematics application questions.Teachers give corresponding solutions according to their own teaching experience to solve the problems that students currently have in solving application problems;finally,the author analyzes and summarizes the results and gives solutions.The study found that high school students mainly made the following five types of errors when solving problems:(1)errors caused by psychological reasons;(2)errors caused by calculation errors or failure to calculate;(3)in the process of solving problems,The answering process is not standardized;(4)the basic knowledge of some concepts,theorems and other basic knowledge is not firmly grasped;(5)mathematical models cannot be established when solving some practical application problems.Analyze the reasons for the above errors from both students and teachers,and putforward corresponding solutions according to the causes of the problems:(1)To help students overcome obstacles caused by psychological reasons,it can be improved through positive psychological suggestion and reasonable setting of the difficulty of the problem.Students' confidence in solving problems;(2)For students' errors caused by calculation,teachers can emphasize that students should regulate themselves and develop good calculation habits to overcome two aspects;(3)Students' errors caused by non-standard answering process,can be guided by teachers and students can practice more to overcome such problems;(4)students have problems due to lack of solid basic knowledge,in addition to relying on teachers to emphasize the importance of basic knowledge,students should also develop the ability to complete the problems(5)For the lack of students' modeling ability,it can cultivate students' ability to see problems from multiple perspectives,students can choose the corresponding mathematical model according to the problem,and can quickly solve the problem according to the model.
