In the process of mathematics learning,it is inevitable for students to make mistakes in learning,especially in solving problems.To some extent,mistakes also contain reasonable factors.However,for teachers' teaching,students' solid mastery of knowledge and successful problem solving through learning are the external manifestations of high teaching quality.Students' errors have important research value of teachers' teaching,so teachers can understand the types of errors students make in solving problems,by analyzing the causes of the errors and making targeted corrections.Application awareness is a key quality that students in compulsory education should have in learning mathematics,and the process of solving application problems can develop students ' application awareness.Students in the first grade are in the transition stage between elementary and junior high school,and the abstraction and difficulty of application problems have increased compared to elementary school.Students may make different types of errors in solving application problems.The analysis framework was based on Newman's error analysis theory,which was divided into three types of errors.We analyzed 150 first-year students from three middle schools in Yangzhou,Jiangsu Province,and analyzed their errors in the process of solving application problems.Through the research,the following conclusions can be drawn:first,the types of application problem solving errors of first-year students mainly include comprehension errors,conversion errors,mathematization errors,result presentation errors and errors caused by other non-intellectual factors;second,the causes of application problem solving errors of first-year students can be analyzed from both teachers' and students'perspectives,mainly including teachers 'lack of instructional methods and students'existence of thinking stereotypes and poor problem solving habits.According to the students' performance in the test paper combined with the teacher-student questionnaire,I put forward the following teaching suggestions:first,carry out reading comprehension training;second,strengthen the teaching of knowledge;third,provide training for mathematical thinking;fourth,enhanced operational training;fifth,strengthen the guidance of problem-solving norms.
