| The new curriculum reform in China requires that students’ ability to learn new knowledge be actively cultivated,so that students can learn to process and process new knowledge and form their own unique knowledge system. The process of students taking notes in class is actually the process of processing and processing new knowledge.Taking class notes can promote learners to combine new knowledge with existing knowledge, thereby helping learners organize memory and transfer knowledge, and finally form a systematic and unique knowledge system. Therefore, taking class notes has a positive meaning for students’ learning.Especially for the knowledge of organic chemistry, the theory of organic chemistry is abstract, there are many kinds of organic compounds, the reaction mechanism is complex, the knowledge is systematic and there are many knowledge points. As time goes by,most of the knowledge will be forgotten. Therefore, classroom notes can be taken to help students learn chemistry. But for now, many students don’t know how to take notes. Therefore, the author applies the Cornell note-taking method to the teaching of organic chemistry in high school.Through practical research,it is found that the Cornell note-taking method has a positive and significant impact on students’ learning of chemistry. This article is divided into six parts:The first part is the preface, which includes six aspects: research background, research purpose and significance, research status at home and abroad, research content, research methods and research ideas. The second part is theoretical basis and concept definition. This research is based on information processing learning theory,Ebbinghaus forgetting law and constructivist learning theory, and defines the format and usage steps of Cornell’s note-taking method. The third part investigates and analyzes the current situation of high school students’ chemistry classroom notes. The survey results show that students have the habit of taking notes, but the current note-taking method of students cannot really play the function of notes. There are certain problems in their note-taking and need to be improved. The fourth part mainly introduces Cornell’s note-taking method for a special class, and then applies Cornell’s note-taking method to the teaching practice of the new class and review class of "Basics of Organic Chemistry".And select "Nomenclature of Organic Compounds" and "Hydrocarbons and Halogenated Hydrocarbons" for presentation. The fifth part is an analysis of the practical effect of Cornell’s note-taking method. After a one-semester practice, the application effect of the Cornell note-taking method and the students’ mastery of the Cornell note-taking method were analyzed through four methods: pre-and post-test analysis, questionnaire analysis, note text analysis, and teacherstudent interviews.situation and attitude. The sixth part is the conclusion and reflection of the research, which puts forward the shortcomings of Cornell’s note-taking method, and puts forward suggestions and prospects for the implementation of Cornell’s note-taking method.Through a variety of research methods, the practical effect is analyzed and the conclusion is drawn: Cornell note-taking method is recognized and liked by most students.Cornell note-taking method allows students to record, supplement, refine and summarize according to their unique understanding of the classroom content,so as to obtain notes with their own cognitive characteristics.Complete and effective notes are of great help to students’ review after class and before the exam.Cornell note-taking method plays an obvious and positive role in students’ chemistry learning. Therefore,Cornell note-taking method is a very good note-taking method, which is of great help to improve students’ interest in note-taking and chemistry learning,as well as their learning efficiency and academic performance. The overall effect is relatively significant. In order to give full play to Cornell note-taking method, teachers must give more guidance to students when they start to use Cornell note-taking method,so that students can really understand and master Cornell note-taking method. At the same time, teachers should leave some time for students to record and sort out the notes in the notes area,so as to avoid increasing students’ homework burden and prevent the phenomenon of taking notes from becoming formal. |
