Research travel is an out-of-school practical activity that combines research study with travel experience. It provides a vehicle and a way to develop the core literacy of geography, such as geography practice. However,in the process of implementation,it is difficult to combine "travel" and "learning".Project-based learning is a good solution to this problem, and can enhance the depth of students' experience and ensure the quality of research and study.Under the guidance of project-based learning theory, this paper uses literature method, case analysis method, field investigation method, etc.as research methods, and takes the high school geography research trip case design based on the geographical resources of Dalat Banner,Ordos City,Inner Mongolia as the research content. The local geography teachers provided research activity cases, which enriched the research activity resources of Dalat Banner. The study came to the following conclusions:First, with the rural geography resources of Dalad Banner as the carrier, combined with the compulsory course content of "Research and Study Travel Curriculum Standards" and "General High School Geography Curriculum Standards"(2017 edition and revised in 2020),select 18 research points and summarize their research resources, including 7 natural geography research sites and 11 human geography research sites,to provide theme resources for future research trips.Second, based on the analysis of 10 typical cases, the principles and components of the design of research travel cases based on project-based learning are proposed. From the selected 18 research sites,6 research sites along the Hantai River from downstream to upstream were further selected and developed, which are the intersection of Hantai River and the Yellow River(Hejiayingzi),Zhao Dajian Cultural Institute,Haixin Island Intangible Heritage Town,Kubuqi Desert Locking Forest,Xiangsha Bay and Qingdamen Red Revolutionary Education Center, and combine each research point according to the spatial location and research content, establish 4 research themes, design 4 research travel cases were published.Third, through the design and implementation of research travel cases, the general strategies for the design and implementation of high school geography research travel cases based on project-based learning are proposed, which are content selection:local resources are the carrier of project-based research travel case design;project determination: fit Curriculum standard, contains the cultivation of the core literacy of the discipline;method application: program group + research chain, integrate knowledge fragments, develop higher-order thinking;subject participation: take students as the main body, pay equal attention to visiting experience and inquiry learning;evaluation method: multiple evaluation, promote Effective implementation of research trips;the cultivation of geographic practice throughout the research process.
