Practical Research On The Construction Of Neighborhood Mutual Assistance Network For Urban Poor Elderly ——Taking B Community In Shenyang As An Example

As the aggravation of the aging process,the number of elderly population is on the rise,resulting various problems.At the same time,the increase of the elderly population also bring about diverse aging problems.Comparing to ordinary elderly people,poor elderly people face limits in their daily life,especially in income security,health status,intergenerational support and other aspects.Poverty among the elderly has factors such as high risk of poverty and difficulty in getting rid of poverty,making it difficult for the elderly to get rid of poverty.Because of this,the anti-poverty work for the elderly population become a key part of the Poverty alleviation in China.Since the 1990 s,social support theory has attracted increasing attention from scholars at home and abroad,and has been gradually applied to the problems of the elderly.From the perspective of social support network,it is believed that vulnerable groups can use social network to help themselves with some material and spiritual means gratis,which generally refers to perceived and actual instrumental or expressive support from social networks,communities,intimate partners.When the poor elderly in urban areas are affected by external risks,mainly rely on formal support networks to obtain policy assistance at the national level and helps from community forces.Although it can alleviate the economic pressure,it only depends on the support from the community and other levels,unable to meet their own diverse needs,neighborhood mutual assistance service is an indispensable link in community service,they can get resources from neighbors and peers through informal support networks.Therefore,the application of neighborhood mutual assistance network can greatly reduce the occurrence of poverty among the elderly,so as to truly help the poor elderly to solve the realistic dilemma.Therefore,in this context,the author select COMMUNITY B to study the construction of neighborhood mutual-aid network for the poor elderly through group work.In this way,the elderly in poverty can give full play to subjective initiative,through the systematic network of mutual aid,they can solve their own practical problems,accomplish in their old age and enjoy their life happily.First of all,the author sorted out the difficulties and causes of the problems faced by the poor elderly in COMMUNITY B by visiting and investigating.According to the overall situation of the elderly in the community,the author designed teamwork plans and carried out team activities,all of these were based on three dimensions of information support,service support and evaluation support in the social support theory.Through the methods such as interviews and surveys,the author evaluated the process and results of building a neighborhood network for the elderly in poverty.Practice shows that it is not only necessary to construct a neighborhood mutual aid and support network for the elderly poor in the city,but it can also make the elderly poor get tangible assistance from welfare.Meanwhile,the study shows that it is necessary to carry out the construction of neighborhood mutual aid network for the elderly in the community sustainably.
