"Listening,speaking,reading and writing" are always indispensable four links in Chinese teaching,and they are closely connected with each other.With the growth of age,the improvement of learning stage and the increase of students' daily reading needs,the importance of reading is increasing day by day.However,at present,the current situation of Chinese Reading Teaching in the senior stage of primary school is not ideal.There are still problems of "high energy consumption and low efficiency",which are more common.Through the analysis of the results of the questionnaire,it is found that students' problems in reading are still prominent,such as not forming good reading habits,insufficient preparation before reading,lack of directivity,and poor mastery of reading methods;Teachers also ignore the effectiveness of preview,layout and feedback,and can not pay long-term attention to students' extracurricular reading.Therefore,how to think from the perspective of the combination of theory and practice and seek feasible solutions has become the meaning of the problem.Schema theory holds that schema is a kind of knowledge unit constructed around a certain theme,and it is the basic component of information knowledge processing and combination.Schemata can represent all types of knowledge in the human brain.Although the research of Schema Theory in China started late,and most of the research is mainly carried out in the field of English reading,its position in the field of Chinese reading teaching is becoming more and more important with the development of the times.Research shows that schemata have the functions of selection and inference.Students' existing schemata play an important role in the construction of knowledge and the effectiveness of reading.The three modes of students' reading-"top-down mode","bottom-up mode" and "alternating or comprehensive" mode all require teachers to teach students in accordance with local conditions and their aptitude,deal with the relationship between existing diagrams and new diagrams,help students establish and enrich schemas,overcome reading obstacles and steadily improve their reading comprehension ability.Therefore,it is necessary and feasible to apply schema theory to Chinese Reading Teaching in senior primary school and explore a practical path.The main content of this paper is to start with the concept,characteristics and functions of schema,understand the main problems of Chinese Reading Teaching in the senior stage of primary school through investigation,and combine the classification of Schema in reading-language diagram,content schema and formal schema with the classification of text in Chinese reading teaching,so as to explore the application principle of schema theory,Create thematic teaching,and explore the specific application strategies,so as to provide a new thinking and teaching design path for Chinese front-line teachers struggling in the senior stage of primary school,in order to change the current teaching dilemma.In this paper,the author will present the application of Schema Theory in the teaching process according to his own teaching experience,combined with the actual cases and specific teaching design in daily teaching,so as to provide guiding cases for front-line teachers.
