As an important period in the formation of students' values,the purpose of cultivating students' discursive skills is to encourage them to think rationally and carefully about the nature of things,to think hard and discern well,to use prudent thinking to reasonably analyse and examine complex matters,and to make correct value judgments on the premise of adhering to Chinese Marxist theory.The Civics course is an important course in establishing moral education and cultivating students' correct values.Cultivating students' ability to think and discern through the teaching of Civics with deep discernment will help them to understand the major virtues,distinguish right from wrong,and establish their moral ambition in their learning life.Therefore,teachers of Civics should grind carefully to do a good job of cultivating the values of discernment among high school students.The cultivation of students' discernment in senior secondary Civics classes is in line with the Ministry of Education's fundamental task of comprehensively deepening curriculum reform and implementing moral education,as well as the country's need to cultivate an innovative talent pool.Starting from the exploration of the connotations related to discursive skills,with Marx's theory on materialistic dialectics,Xi Jinping's view of governance for young students,constructivist theory and postmodernist learning theory as theoretical support,and based on the teaching of senior high school Civics,closely integrated with the core literacy of senior high school political science,the teaching resources of Civics courses are developed in depth,and Civics teachers are encouraged to adopt diversified teaching methods,use scientific They also encourage teachers to use diversified teaching methods,scientific use of assessment and efficient use of learning guides to cultivate students' thinking skills and guide them to establish correct values and achieve all-round development.The survey was conducted in a stratified sample of students from the first secondary school in S city,Guangdong province,and concluded that the main problems in the cultivation of students' critical thinking skills in the teaching process of the current high school Civics class are: the school ignores the creation of an atmosphere for cultivating students' critical thinking skills;the Civics teachers' development of critical thinking resources is low;the teaching methods used by Civics teachers are relatively homogeneous;the teaching evaluation used by Civics teachers is not scientific enough,and the students' critical thinking skills are not well developed.The teaching evaluation used by teachers is not scientific enough,and students tend to fall into thinking stereotypes and passive learning.Combining the teacher interviews and student questionnaires,we attempt to analyse the causes of the shortcomings in the school's knowledge of cultivating students' critical thinking skills,the lack of control by the Civics teacher over the in-depth critical thinking classroom,and the shortcomings in the students' learning methods.Firstly,teachers should actively create a quality atmosphere for scientific thinking:develop a thinking classroom,create a thinking atmosphere,build a campus culture and carry out thinking activities;secondly,they should develop teaching resources for the thinking course: extend extra-curricular resources,link to the school-based curriculum,dig deeper into the textbook and effectively integrate the content;thirdly,teachers should Third,teachers should reasonably adopt diversified teaching methods: create problematic situations to cultivate interest in learning,apply issue-based teaching to stimulate students' thinking,select current affairs cases to improve classroom effectiveness,and strengthen post-class communication to promote dialogue between teachers and students.Fifthly,teachers should make effective use of the strategies related to the guidance of learning methods: focus on answering points to cultivate students' abilities,set reasonable objectives to improve teaching quality,and improve learning methods to enhance classroom effectiveness.
