As an important genre of children's literature,fairy tale has the distinctive features like fantasy,story,interest and a certain educational significance.Thus fairy tales become an essential curriculum resource for the teaching of Chinese in primary schools.When in the teaching of fairy tales,teachers are prone to enable pupils to accumulate knowledge and develop abilities by means of role playing,story retelling,plot rewriting through extensive listening,speaking,reading,and writing training.So the teaching of fairy tale plays a significant role in developing student's ability of expression.With the state-compiled lower grade textbooks as the carrier,this research explores the key points of expression ability training related to fairy tales.In view of the current teaching status,it puts forward appropriate suggestions and strategies on how to promote the development of expressive ability in the teaching of fairy tales in the lower grades of primary schools based on the reference of top teachers.The first part is the introduction,which introduces the purpose,significance,methods and research situation of this study.Through reading,organizing and analyzing a large amount of relevant literature,it is found that in recent years there are few studies related to the teaching of fairy tale and development of expressive ability in primary schools at home and abroad,which is worthy of in-depth exploration.Chapter One elaborates the theoretical and practical basis for the role of fairy tale teaching in primary schools in promoting the development student's expressive ability,and its significance for the enhancement of the expressive ability.Chapter Two discusses the objectives for the development of expressive ability of students in lower grades of primary schools and the main training forms of expressive ability in fairy tale teaching.Specific objectives have been proposed by the Chinese curriculum standards for the development of pupil's expressive ability in both oral and written aspects.Under the guidance of the curriculum objectives,with the state-compiled lower grade textbooks as the carrier,fairy tale teaching is expected to design activities in four forms,fairy tale reading,fairy tale narration,fairy tale performance and fairy tale creation,so as to train student's expressive ability.With the teachers and students of lower grades in primary schools as the objects.Chapter Three has investigated in the form of questionnaire the training practice of expressive ability in the teaching of lower grade fairy tale reading as well as the acquisition of student's expressive skills.It is found that there are problems in the current lower grade fairy tale teaching,such as vague comprehension of teaching objectives,insufficient understanding of fairy tale texts and superficial training of expressive ability.This is fundamentally related to the teacher's personal fairy tale literacy and excessive negligence of developing pupils,expressive ability.On this basis,the last chapter puts forwards the specific strategies for the development of student's expressive ability in the fairy tale teaching of lower grades in primary schools.In view of the fairy tale teaching reality at this stage,four approaches have been proposed by combing with the cases of top teachers and the author's personal experience,including improving student's reading ability by fairy tale reading,enhancing student's speaking ability by fairy tale narration,strengthening student's dialogue ability by fairy tale performance and honing student's writing ability by fairy tale creation.
