"Geography Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education" is emphasized that geography curriculum should focus on the cultivation of students' innovative consciousness and practical ability,guide students to form geographical thinking,be good at discovering geographical problems in life,understand their geographical background and enhance students' practical ability by selecting basic geographical knowledge closely related to life and vigorously developing and utilizing geography curriculum resources.This enables students to establish the concept of human land coordination and sustainable development,and lay a foundation for cultivating citizens with geographical literacy.Local geography teaching is an important way to effectively implement the concept of curriculum standards.In addition,the reform of high school entrance examination in Shanxi Province makes the local geography teaching add the purpose of taking the exam on the basis of the goal of educating people.This makes the local geography teaching not only need the implementation of knowledge,but also need the cultivation of emotion,which is highly practical.At this stage,many scholars at home and abroad have studied local geography teaching,but there is little research on local geography teaching practice.Therefore,this paper studies the needs of rural land science teaching under the background of high school entrance examination,which has certain practical significance.Based on the new curriculum standard and the practical requirements of the high school entrance examination,supported by constructivist learning theory,recent development zone theory and meaningful learning theory,this paper uses the questionnaire method to understand the current situation and problems of local geography teaching in Jinzhong City;Then it expounds the practical operation and results of local geography teaching;The interview method is used to understand the students' real feelings after participating in local geography teaching;At the same time,the author makes a deep reflection according to his own actual teaching situation.Finally,according to the problems in the teaching process,this paper puts forward the corresponding teaching improvement countermeasures.This paper is mainly divided into four parts:The first part discusses the research background and significance,research status and plan,concept definition and theoretical basis of local geography teaching.The second part: through the questionnaire survey of some teachers in different schools in Jinzhong and some students in Jingwei middle school in Jinzhong,it is analyzed that the problems in local geography teaching in Jinzhong include the following three points: First,the education department and school system are imperfect,and the teaching conditions of local geography are weak;Second,teachers' ideas are backward and their professional quality needs to be improved;Third,students' and parents' awareness is not in place and attention is not enough.The third part: This paper expounds the teaching practice of local geography,mainly from four aspects: establishing local geography teaching and research group,developing and sorting out local geography resources that can be integrated into the content of teaching materials,local geography classroom teaching practice and local geography extracurricular practice.Among them,in the aspect of developing and sorting out the local geographical resources that can be integrated into the teaching materials,the developed local geographical resources and the chapters of natural geography,human geography and regional geography in the teaching materials are sorted out respectively,and the corresponding teaching objectives and suggestions are put forward.In the teaching practice of local geography,the author expounds in detail from four aspects: introducing new courses,interspersed lectures,arranging local geography homework and setting up local geography elective courses.In terms of extracurricular practice of local geography,it records and shows the real scenes of organizing students to participate in research travel activities,carrying out field investigation or field investigation activities,organizing local geography knowledge competitions,speech competitions and special lectures.The fourth part: through the interview and investigation,get the real feedback of students after the implementation of local geography classroom teaching and extracurricular practical activities.At the same time,according to the actual teaching situation,the author deeply reflects on the links of local geography classroom teaching and the forms of local geography extracurricular practical activities.Finally,combined with the questionnaire survey results,interview results and after-school reflection,this paper puts forward the corresponding teaching improvement countermeasures for the problems in the teaching process.It mainly includes:(1)Strive to obtain the support of education departments and schools to improve teaching conditions.(2)Teachers change their ideas and improve their quality.(3)deal with the relationship between classroom teaching and extracurricular practice to dispel the concerns of parents and students.
