A country without virtue would not prosper;a man without virtue would not stand.With the development of social economy and education,the importance of moral education,as an important part of education,has attracted more and more attention.For the first time,the report of the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward "taking moral education as the fundamental task of education ",which is more profound and lasting than the meaning of "insisting on educating people first and moral education first" put forward by the report of 17 th National Congress of the CPC.The report of the 19 th National Congress of the CPC pointed out that "we must fully implement the Party’s educational policy,implement the fundamental task of establishing morality and cultivating people,develop quality education,promote educational equity,and cultivate socialist builders and successors who are equipped with morally,intellectually,physically and aesthetically." General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed at the National Education Conference that it is necessary to integrate moral education into all aspects of ideological and moral education,cultural knowledge education and social practice education,and run through all fields of basic education,professional education and higher education.These all reflect the importance of moral education in education at various levels.Moral education management,as an important part of moral education,has attracted the attention of educators all over the world,and relevant research is also very active.Up to now,a lot of research results have been obtained and widely applied.However,there are also great defects and deficiencies,such as excessive emphasis on theoretical research,relatively single research means,research results are difficult to effectively apply to practice.According to the review of the existing research,there are a lot of qualitative research and quantitative research on moral education management,and most are taken rural schools,remote schools,small-scale school school as the research samples.There are very few studies on the large-scale,city-owned key secondary schools such as Chongqing A secondary school.Compared with a large number of empirical studies on moral education management abroad,the research on moral education management in secondary schools in China needs to be further strengthened.Since 2011,the author has successively served as the headteacher of the class,the Secretary of the Youth League Committee and the deputy director of the Moral Education Department of A secondary school in Chongqing,and knows deeply the difficulties and dilemmas in the development of moral education in schools.In the past,moral education has been relying on traditional experience,preaching and indoctrination,and the actual effect of moral education is very low.Especially in secondary school(junior high school,senior high school),students have a large age span,and are in the period of the rebellious stage and the formation of life values,how to improve the effectiveness of school moral education management,to explore the best way of moral education management,it is urgent.For this reason,combining with the actual work of my own,the author explores the problems and causes of moral education management in A School,and puts forward corresponding improvement measures.This study interviews and questionnaires the leaders,teachers and students of A secondary school in Chongqing which is the sample school,supplemented by the participatory observation,text analysis and other research methods,explore the problems of A School in moral education management,and proposes the corresponding improvement measures by the author for more than 2 years of field research.Through the form of questionnaire and interview,this paper analyzes the existing problems of moral education management in A School in Chongqing.Although A School in Chongqing values moral management and takes some measures,with all the complexities,there are still some problems in the management of moral education in A School in Chongqing.The main problems are,1.The objective of moral education is not focused;2.Imperfect moral education system;3.The system of moral education is not standardized;4.The approach of moral education is not innovative;5.The evaluation of moral education is not grounded;6.The guarantee of the moral education management is not in place.This study also put forward the improvement strategies according to the above problems.First,make clear the goal of moral education;Second,the construction of moral education system;Thirdly,standardize the moral education system;Fourth,innovate the way of moral education;Fifth,optimize the evaluation of moral education;Sixth,the implementation of moral education management guarantee.Therefore,it is expected to effectively and comprehensively promote the moral education management of A secondary school in Chongqing,and promote the development of the moral education management of the same kind of local secondary schools.
