Bioethics is the study of the "moral permissibility" of human behavior in the field of life sciences and medical technology in an interdisciplinary context using an ethical approach.Bioethics refers to the norms and ethics of relationships between human beings and other living beings,and broadly speaking,bioethics includes ethics of science and technology,ecological ethics,and other ethics related to human life and survival.Biology is one of the basic subjects in natural science,and it is a science that studies the phenomenon of life and the law of life activities.The high school biology curriculum,while imparting biological knowledge and promoting conceptual understanding,emphasizes biotechnological norms in interdisciplinary contexts and core literacy and social responsibility in the face of ethical dilemmas.Based on the extensive literature research,this study argues that the scope of bioethics research is closely aligned with the content of the high school biology curriculum and that the goals of bioethics education are highly compatible with the goals of the high school biology curriculum,thus demonstrating the feasibility of implementing bioethics education in high school biology teaching.A random survey of students in grades 1-3 in a Nanjing high school was conducted at a later stage,and individual interviews were conducted with some students and all biology teachers.The survey study found that the current implementation of bioethics education in high school level biology teaching is not optimistic enough: students pay less attention and generally lack profound thinking;teachers are under teaching task and lack confidence and determination to carry out bioethics education,which further argues the necessity of carrying out bioethics education.Finally,on the basis of the survey and research,suggestions are made for high school biology teachers to carry out bioethics education in their teaching,and three typical topics of "euthanasia," "surrogacy," and " ecological ethics ",which have cognitive biases among students,are selected for the design and implementation of teaching cases for reference in high school biology teaching practice,so as to enrich the study of bioethics practice in high school biology teaching.
