| In 2018,the General Senior High School Biology Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)promulgated by the Ministry of Education emphasized the learning of important concepts in biology,requiring attention to students’ autonomous learning and practice,and developing students’ core competencies.Teaching aimed to important concepts has a key role in the construction of big concepts and even the formation of life concepts.Therefore,based on the analysis of the correlation between each link of the 5E teaching model and the teaching process of important concepts,the paper studied the application of the 5E teaching model in senior high school biology.The application of important concepts in teaching,the research results provided important references for front-line biology teachers in senior high schools to effectively carry out concept teaching in the classroom,develop students’ core competencies in biology,and promote teachers’ professional development.This study firstly reviewed the literature related to the 5E teaching model and the teaching of important concepts through the literature research method,generalizing and summarizing the relevant theoretical and practical research results at home and abroad,it was found that there is not much specific guidance and practice for teaching important concepts in senior high school.Secondly,through interviews and questionnaires,it was found that teachers’implementation of important concept teaching was not ideal,and students’ subjectivity in classroom learning was not strong,but teachers all agreed with the inquiry concept of the 5E teaching model and the possibility of combining it with the teaching of important concepts.Then,on the basis of sorting out the important concepts of senior high school biology compulsory modules and screening suitable teaching contents,the research constructs the teaching application principles and strategies of senior high school biology important concepts based on the 5E teaching model,and selects biology grades,learning interests,and learning methods.Experiments were carried out in classes with no significant difference,and it was found that the use of 5E teaching mode to carry out important concept teaching helps students to understand and apply concepts,build a knowledge framework,and has a significant effect on improving the biological learning performance of middle and excellent students,and can improve students’ interest in learning,to improve students’ learning methods,students are more willing to participate in classroom learning,but the effect on the improvement of the biological performance of the underachievers is not obvious.Therefore,it is possible to choose the 5E teaching mode as the benchmark to carry out important concept teaching,and there are many teaching resources that conform to the 5E teaching mode’s inquiry-based concept in senior high school biology textbooks.Teachers can actively use the 5E teaching mode to carry out important concept teaching.Students understand biological knowledge and cultivate learning ability. |
