Mathematics is a science that mainly studies the relationship between spatial form and quantity. The thoughts, methods and spirit of mathematics are the embodiment of the truth and essence behind mathematics. In middle school mathematics, the combination of number and shape is a more important mathematical thinking method. It concentrates the advantages of algebraic methods and geometric methods. It is a double-edged sword, with both the procedural and mechanized advantages of algebraic methods, and the intuitive image of geometric methods.Based on the actual teaching of mathematics, interviews and questionnaires investigate the implementation of junior high school mathematics teaching. The survey is mainly conducted from three aspects of student cognition, application ability and the application of teachers in teaching. The survey results show that the students ’ understanding of mathematics and shape combination insufficient, the low efficiency of mathematics learning and problem solving. Some teachers have insufficient understanding of the necessity of ideological penetration of numbers and forms, and there are deviations in the choice of teaching methods. At the same time,it is also found that students ’willingness to combine mathematics with thought is "positively related" to teachers’ lectures.Based on these data, the author finally put forward the four teaching strategies, the four strategies are to improve teachers ’cognition of digital combination thinking, provide the diversity of problem solving algorithms, enrich students’ spatial imagination ability, improve students ’ comprehensive use of the ability to solve problems,in order to provide reference to the implementation of the ideas.
