In recent years,the rise of leisure fitness and return to nature makes orienteering develop vigorously in China.Its unique educational value and fitness value attract more and more people to participate in it.School-based curriculum is playing an increasingly important role in the reform of basic education,which provides an opportunity for emerging projects to enter the campus.However,through investigation,it is found that there are few schools that officially carry out orienteering as a school-based physical education course in primary and secondary schools.This research uses the literature method to sort out and analyze the domestic and foreign researches on orienteering and school-based curriculum development to clarify the value of orienteering and the mode and steps of school-based curriculum development.This paper analyzes the necessity and feasibility of the development of the school-based course of orienteering in senior high school by means of interview,questionnaire and mathematical statistics.Using logic analysis method to construct the school-based course plan of orienteering in senior high school;Using the teaching experiment method,the implementation effect of the curriculum plan formulated in this study is tested,and the following conclusions and suggestions are drawn:(1)The development of the school-based course of orienteering in senior high school should consider the needs and physical ability of senior high school students,the professional quality of teachers,the attitude of school leaders,the guarantee of school facilities and available external resources;(2)The setting of the school-based course of orienteering in senior high school includes the theoretical basis,principles,objectives,content,evaluation and implementation plan according to the school’s own status quo;(3)Orienteering is conducive to the development of students’ endurance quality.Compared with other sports,orienteering has a certain promotion effect on the development of students’ mental health level and social adaptability.(4)According to the actual situation of the school,make reasonable curriculum plan,improve the school curriculum structure,and develop school characteristic courses,The government and other relevant departments should provide corresponding support for the promotion of orienteering in primary and secondary schools,such as professional training of teachers and financial support,etc.
