| In response to the call of our country,we should strengthen the reform of school physical education and build a normal extracurricular sports activities and sports competition system in schools.Taking high school extracurricular sports competitions as the starting point,we will investigate and analyze the current situation of high school extracurricular sports competitions in Hainan Province,find out factors and main problems that affect the development of sports competitions,and explore a new path to optimize the extracurricular sports competition under the situation of school sports reform and integration of sports and education in the new period.In the research process,the research methods such as literature data method,questionnaire survey method,field investigation method,interview method and mathematical statistics method are mainly used.The results show thatⅠ.The types of after-school sports competitions carried out by high schools in Hainan Province are mainly school sports meets and individual sports competitions.The organization and participation methods are rich.The frequency of competitions is mainly held once a year.The competition rewards are mainly the top students,and rewards are set.The method is different from the way students like;the source of sports competition funding is only school funding,and sports funding,venues,and equipment cannot fully meet the needs of after-school sports competitions.Ⅱ.Physical education teachers have a high level of awareness of the purpose and types of sports competitions;students have a high degree of understanding and willingness to participate in after-school sports competitions,and students in minority areas have higher understanding and willingness to participate in after-school sports competitions than in non-minority areas,seniors students’ understanding of after-school sports competitions is higher than that of the lower grades,and the willingness of high school students to participate is higher than that of high school students and third-year students;the teachers and students are less satisfied with the status quo of after-school sports competitions.Ⅲ.The school’s after-school sports competitions are affected by limited sports venues and equipment;limited free time;less attention paid by leaders;insufficient competition funds and other factors;students’ participation in after-school sports competitions is mainly due to poor sports,disinterest,busy studies and so on.Ⅳ.The main problems in the development of after-school sports competitions in high schools in Hainan Province are as follows: the setting of competition items is single and the holding time is unreasonable;the degree of communication between the school and the family and the community is insufficient;the number of participants is small,and the re-participation rate is not high;the level of leadership attention Low,insufficient funding for sports competitions;large gaps in resource conditions between schools in different regions.The optimization paths proposed to solve the above problems are as follows:deepen the reform of school sports and improve the sports competition system;use sports competitions as the hub to strengthen the interaction between home,school and society;cultivate students’ awareness of the subject and stimulate their enthusiasm for competition;enrich sports Competition categories highlight the characteristics of each school’s competition;increase investment in competition funds to achieve balanced development of regional resources;optimize competition organization forms and establish corresponding reward mechanisms;develop school sports clubs and pay attention to student sports safety. |
