With the development of science and technology, talents are in great demand in society, which requires that students should have the spirit of scientific inquiry, and possess creativity, and problem-solving ability. However, the teaching method of chemistry in senior high is still the conventional rote learning, leading to students' low interest and low learning efficiency in chemistry learning. Therefore, what chemistry teachers should focus on is to use reasonable teaching strategies to improve the efficiency of chemistry classroom.Problem-driven teaching takes "problems" as the carrier.Through creating problem situations, then stimulating students to raise, analyze and solve problems in teaching, this method can arouse students' enthusiasm in learning chemistry and cultivate students' scientific inquiry ability,so as to improve the teaching effect, enhance students' enthusiasm in learning chemistry and ultimately cultivate talents to meet the needs of the times. In China, compared with the traditional teaching method,problem-driven teaching requires teachers to do more preparation before class. At the same time,it is more difficult to grasp the rhythm of the classroom and teaching progress, which requires teachers to improve their ability.Therefore,problem-driven teaching method has not been widely employed in chemistry classes in China's senior high, resulting in inadequate teaching efficiency. In this paper, through designing a questionnaire and conducting a survey on teachers and students, the status quo of the implementation of problem-driven teaching method in chemistry teaching of senior high and the difficulties in the implementation process are explored.Through the investigation on students,it is found that most students are interested in chemistry, but the effect of chemistry learning is not very good. The students have weak problem consciousness and poor problem-solving ability. In the survey on teachers, most of the teachers agree with the problem-driven teaching method, but because of the long preparation time,it is difficult to control the classroom rhythm and teaching progress, and the lack of strategies to create problem scenarios, effectively ask questions, and guide problem solving, the problem-based teaching method has not been implemented in the actual teaching.Based on the above survey results, combined with literature research and practical teaching experience, this paper puts forward the following strategies to implement problem driven teaching in senior high school chemistry teaching:(1)strategy of creating problem driven teaching situation;(2)strategy of designing problems in problem driven teaching;(3)strategy of solving chemical problems;(4)strategy of student evaluation in problem-driven teaching.Through the application of these strategies to solve the problems teachers encounter in the implementation of problem-driven teaching,so as to promote the promotion of problem driven teaching in high school chemistry teaching. In order to verify the operability and effectiveness of the above strategies, and the influence of problem driven teaching on students after the application of these strategies, this paper carries out a practical research, taking two classes of the same level in a high school in Sichuan Province as the experimental class and the control class, using problem driven teaching and traditional teaching respectively, and implementing the above strategies in the problem-driven teaching.By means of observation,a test and a survey, this paper makes a comparative analysis of the two classes' chemistry learning achievements, learning interest, learning enthusiasm, problem awareness and problem-solving ability. The results show that the students in the experimental class have a high degree of participation in the classroom, strong learning enthusiasm, students can take the initiative to find problems and find solutions, and master and use knowledge better. The academic performance is significantly improved, and the students are more attentive and concentrated in class. However, the classroom atmosphere of the control class is rather dull.Students' learning enthusiasm is not high, and they often learn chemistry by rote but do not have a good comprehension and thus lack the ability to use the knowledge properly. To sum up,the strategies proposed in this paper fully highlight the students as the main body in the process of middle school chemistry teaching, and can enhance the enthusiasm of students in learning chemistry. So problem-driven teaching is conducive to cultivating students' ability to find and solve problems, strengthening logical thinking ability, and ultimately improving students' chemistry performance.
