In February 2017,the Ministry of Education issued a notice on the issuance of the "Compulsory Education Primary School Science Curriculum Standards"(Hereinafter referred to as the new "Curriculum Standard").The Ministry of Education organized experts to revise and improve the primary school science curriculum standards after more than ten years.The standards will be implemented starting from the fall of 2017.The new "Curriculum Standards" has new changes.The opening of elementary science courses has been changed from the original 3-6 grades to 1-6 grades.The new field opened is technology and engineering,in the lower grades of primary school(1-2 grades).There are also related to this field.At the same time,it is emphasized once again that the importance of cultivating the scientific literacy of primary school students as the overall goal of the primary school science curriculum is emphasized.The promulgation of the new "Curriculum Standards" puts forward new requirements for schools and science teachers,and the current status and problems of the implementation of the science curriculum in the lower grades of elementary schools are topics worthy of attention and research.Based on the literature review,this study uses research methods such as questionnaire surveys,interviews,classroom observations,etc.,taking the B District of Chongqing in the southwestern region as an example.The purpose is to understand the status and implementation of the current elementary science curriculum in basic education.In order to promote the effective implementation of the science curriculum in the lower grades of elementary schools,we will find empirical evidence and understand the differences in the implementation of the lower grade science curriculum in urban elementary schools and township elementary schools.In this way,it provides a reference for education management departments to formulate primary school curriculum reform policies,provides suggestions for the smooth implementation of the lower grade science curriculum in primary schools,and provides a reference for schools to improve the quality of lower grade science teaching.The research mainly focuses on the importance of schools in the implementation of science courses in the lower grades,the construction of science laboratories,the training of science teachers,the situation of teachers' faculty,the teaching attitudes and abilities of science teachers,and the performance of teachers and students in science classes.Wait for research.Through a questionnaire survey of 113 low-grade science teachers in Zone B and 602 students in the lower grades of six elementary schools,as well as interviews with 10 low-grade science teachers,statistical analysis shows that the current main problems in the district are: Insufficient attention has been paid to the implementation of science courses in the lower grades of elementary schools,the level of professionalization of science teachers is low,the utilization of lower-grade science courses in laboratories is low,students have high expectations for science courses,and the implementation of lower-grade science courses in urban and township elementary schools is medium-sized teachers There are differences in teams,differences in the utilization of laboratories,and obvious differences in the setting of science courses.Based on these issues,the research puts forward the following countermeasures: First,change the traditional view and attach importance to science education from the first grade;second,strengthen the construction of the junior science teacher team;third,increase scientific inquiry activities to improve students' scientific literacy;Fourth,strengthen the assessment of the effect of science teaching in lower grades.
