HPM,the relationship between the history of meaning index studies and mathematics education,the goal of the research is to improve the level of mathematics education through the use of mathematics history.At the same time,the various branches of geometry and mathematics are closely related.In the middle school stage,students' logical reasoning and spatial imagination are cultivated with the help of plane geometry.Comparing Chinese and foreign students,the geometric reasoning ability of Chinese students is lower than that of algebraic reasoning.In the actual teaching process in the eighth grade,the author found that students often fail to understand the necessity of ruler drawing and the importance of proof.Can we use the history of mathematics to make the classroom more natural,lively and interesting? Looking through the textbooks published by the People's Education and Beijing Normal University,there is no reading material related to the history of mathematics in the chapter "Parallelogram" in the eighth grade.The main difficulty in this chapter lies in the nature and determination of parallelograms,but in the end-of-chapter review questions of parallelograms,there is a problem of solving the area.This article focuses on designing two teaching cases based on the HPM principle for the above-mentioned problems in plane geometry in junior high schools.The research methods adopted are supplemented by classroom observations.By integrating the history of mathematics into the geometry course teaching,the post-class inspection is carried out;at the same time,the author's school Conduct online questionnaires to solve the following problems of integrating the history of mathematics into the classroom:1.What do students think about the integration of the history of mathematics into geometry teaching? What impact does it have on students' cognition?2.Can the integration of the history of mathematics in the classroom solve the cognitive barriers of students?3.Does the integration of the history of mathematics into the classroom make the classroom more efficient?In order to verify the impact of HPM on students' mathematics thinking level and learning interest,combined with the results of the questionnaire to analyze the teaching cases formed by the lesson study,the following conclusions are obtained:1.Geometry teaching from the perspective of HPM has stimulated students' interest in learning mathematics and created the motivation to learn mathematics;2.Comparing directly to the problem,the necessity and importance of the vertical bisecting line of the ruler and the geometric proof are reflected by the history of mathematics;the derivation of the remainder theorem is easier for students to understand and apply;3.The methods of integrating the history of mathematics can be diversified,especially with the aid of modern technologies such as "geometric sketchpads" and flat panels.Therefore,it is necessary to further carry out in-depth research on mathematics teaching from the perspective of HPM,and it is necessary for frontline teachers and mathematics education researchers to actively develop more HPM teaching cases.
