Since the great discussion on Chinese education at the turn of the century,the deletion of textbooks has gradually become the focus of controversy.The emergence of Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education has put an end to the complicated situation of Chinese textbooks all over the country.Undoubtedly,this set of textbooks will become a medium of communication between teachers and students in the future for a long time and the materials for teachers and students to learn together.However,even the textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education will inevitably involve the controversial issue of the deletion of textbooks.This paper takes the junior middle Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education as the research object,explores the reasons for the deletion of the selected texts through the comparative analysis of the selected texts and the original texts,classifies them,and conducts a questionnaire survey to collect the teachers’ and students’ perceptions and opinions on the deletion of texts,thus puts forward suggestions on how to teach the deletion of texts.It is hoped that it will be helpful for junior middle Chinese teachers to carry out the teaching of Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education in the future.This paper mainly consists of four parts.The first part defines the concept of deletion of textbooks,makes statistics on the basic situation of deletion of textbooks in junior middle Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education,and chooses some chapters for specific analysis.The second part explores the reasons for the text’s deletion of junior middle Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education,and clarifies the negative impact and positive significance of the text’s deletion.The third part is to find out the current situation of junior middle Chinese teachers’ and students’ acquaintance of text’s deletion through questionnaires,and collect and sort out the views,opinions or suggestions of junior middle Chinese teachers and students on the phenomenon of text’s deletion.The fourth part,based on the data,information and materials of the first three parts,explores the problems that may arise when teachers deal with the deletion of texts in the teaching process,and puts forward some teaching suggestions for the deletion of texts in the junior middle Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education.
