Application Of Outdoor PE Activities In Physical Education Curriculums In Longyan Urban Middle Schools

In recent years,with the continuous advancement of economic and social development,people’s living standards have been improved.However,it is worth noting that the physical fitness of a majority of middle school students has shown“developmental regression” which is due to the unreasonable setting of physical education curriculum.In this context,educational researchers have been making constant efforts to continuously adjust and innovate in the process of education reform to meet the comprehensive and diversified needs of students.Appropriate outdoor PE activities in the middle school physical education curriculum can not only enhance the students’ interest in participating in PE classes,but also improve the overall physical quality of the students and lay a good foundation for their future development.In this study,the author selects five middle schools located in the urban area of Longyan as the research objects.In the context of the development of physical education and outdoor training courses,the author analyzes the development status of outdoor development in the five middle schools.The author makes a thorough analysis and research on the current development situation and existing problems of outdoor PE activities in China through literature review,questionnaire survey,field visits,data analysis and other different methods.The author points out the prominent factors that restrict the continuous development of outdoor physical activities in Longyan urban area:the school authorities,the curriculum setting,the restrictions of venues and other conditions,the comprehensive quality of teachers,the regions and the constraints of curriculum construction funds.This paper insists on problem orientation,and gives some practical suggestions on how to solve these problems: To gain the attention from the school authority,to improve the enthusiasm of students,to avoid risks and to enhance the safety level of the curriculum,to improve the allocation of venues and facilities,to improve targeted teacher training,and to expand the sources of funds,etc.,so as to provide practical references for researchers in relevant industries and related fields as well as teaching practitioners.
