In the context of developing Key Competencies for students in the 21 st century,to better implement the fundamental tasks of preparatory education,give play to the educational value of high school history curriculum and promote the individual development of students,cultivating and improving students' Key Competence of history subject has become an important concept in high school History curriculum.As an important course resource and teaching auxiliary tool,historical map plays an important role in improving the quality of history class,broadening students' historical horizon and cultivating students' Key Competence of history subject.This paper takes historical map as the research object,and studies the application methods and strategies of historical map in history teaching in high school from the perspective of how to better train students' Key Competence of history subject.In order to give full play to the teaching value of history map and promote the implementation of the Key Competence of history in the history teaching of high school.This article starts from the specific teaching resources of historical maps and places historical maps under the training requirements of Key Competence of historical disciplines,combined with the historical maps in the latest edition of the high school history textbooks issued by the People's Education Press organized by the Ministry of Education,from the aspects of map compilation,map information content,and strengthening students' core literacy training,Summarizes the improvement of the historical map in the high school history textbook edited by the department compared with the previous high school history textbook.Through questionnaire surveys and teacher interviews,understand the status quo and problems of historical maps in high school history teaching.And through the interpretation of "General High School History Curriculum Standard(2017 Version)",clarified the functional positioning of the historical map in the core literacy of the discipline,on the basis of horizontal interpretation and summarizing the requirements of the core literacy of the five disciplines on the ability to use historical maps,from the perspective of improving students 'key disciplinary abilities and historical qualities,and cultivating students' Key Competence of subjects,some historical map teaching strategies and issues that should be paid attention to in the process of application of new curriculum standards and new textbook teaching content layout methods are proposed.
