HPS education is a new concept of science education that integrates the history of science,philosophy of science and sociology of science to interpret and understand science in the process of education and teaching,so as to enable students to deeply understand the nature of science.It has certain theoretical value and practical significance to study the application strategy of HPS education concept in classroom teaching based on the specific subject teaching content.This paper focuses on “What are the effective application strategies of HPS education concept in high school chemistry teaching? How effective are teaching strategies based on the HPS concept to help students understand the nature of science?” Two questions were studied.By sorting out the research status of HPS education at home and abroad,the strategy system of the application of HPS education concept in high school chemistry teaching was constructed.In terms of teaching objectives,the teaching objectives of the nature of science were highlighted and the elements of the nature of science contained in the teaching contents were clarified.In terms of teaching content,we should choose the content highly in line with the educational value of HPS to present students with a comprehensive and developing scientific picture.In terms of teaching situation,historical clues run through the classroom and real problem situation is created based on cognitive contradictions.In terms of teaching activities,optimize and improve the teaching mode and organize students to conduct group cooperative exploration and scientific writing activities;In the aspect of teaching evaluation,the content of evaluation should highlight the nature of science,and make every effort to diversify the evaluation subjects and adopt diversified evaluation methods.On this basis,the selection of average high school chemistry compulsory 1 “chlorine and its compound”based on the concept of HPS education unit teaching design,and a high school in dingxi city,gansu province has carried on the teaching class two,grade one,in the before and after the experiment for students to understand the situation of nature of science evaluation and interviews,to understand the change of the concept of nature of science students,and for the teaching strategy based on the concept of HPS education effect is evaluated.Results show that the student to the essence of science is three dimensions: the essence of the nature of scientific knowledge,scientific process,the essence of the scientific enterprise,and the understanding of the essence of science is the overall level has improved significantly,and students' understanding of nature of science before and after the experiment exist significant differences,students held a positive attitude to this way of teaching,the cognitive,emotional experience,and behavioral intention of this way of teaching evaluation is higher,this research is put forward in theory teaching strategies in practice can effectively promote students' understanding of nature of science.
