The "White Paper on STEM Education in China" pointed out that the evaluation process of STEM education should emphasize multiple evaluation subjects and multiple evaluation methods,evaluate the learning process of students from different subjects such as students and teachers,and actively explore multiple evaluation methods.Therefore,this study attempts to build a STEAM education evaluation index system with students as the main body of evaluation,and based on this evaluation index system,analyzes the current situation of STEAM education in schools,proposes improvement strategies based on the evaluation results,and improves and implements some courses.This research combs the status quo of STEAM education evaluation research at home and abroad,and draws up a framework of STEAM education evaluation indicators.The Delphi method was used to collect experts' opinions on the framework,and students ' attitudes towards STEAM evaluation indicators were randomly collected from 5 high schools in Shandong,and the Analytic Hierarchy Process was used to assign indicator weights to construct a STEAM education evaluation indicator system.It is composed of four first-level indicators,nine second-level indicators,and thirty-four third-level indicators: "STEAM Course","Teacher's Ability","Students' STEAM Knowledge Ability" and "Students' Social Participation".According to the evaluation index system,the current situation of the implementation of STEAM education in A high school is evaluated,and the current school STEAM education is found to be insufficient,and improvement strategies are proposed.Study the redesign of "emergency rescue" project cases based on the improvement strategy and evaluation index system.After the implementation of the project case,the second investigation and analysis of the current situation of STEAM education was carried out.The results showed that the current school STEAM education has different evaluation indicators in terms of "curricular content interdisciplinary","various evaluation subjects and methods",and "social responsibility".The degree of improvement.The research mainly draws the following conclusions:(1)When constructing the STEAM education evaluation index system,we must fully consider the teaching environment,teacher abilities,curriculum design and student development.Especially in the curriculum design,we must fully consider the cross integration of humanities and arts disciplines with other disciplines.In the development of students,we must consider the cultivation of students' humanities and arts knowledge and ability.(2)The current implementation of STEAM education in high school A performs well overall,but it needs improvement in indicators such as the cultivation of students' humanities and arts,and the content and structure of STEAM courses.According to the problems reflected in the evaluation results,the research proposes curriculum improvement strategies from the interdisciplinary content of the curriculum and the focus of teachers' teaching.(3)According to the STEAM education evaluation index system and curriculum improvement strategy,optimize the implementation of the curriculum.Through the second analysis of the current situation after the implementation,it is found that the curriculum improvement has played a certain role in the improvement of the STEAM education effect,so it can be used for other schools to middle school STEAM courses.Design provides reference.
