The new curriculum reform stresses students' subject status and cooperative ability.In this context,local departments have been trying to explore teaching methods suitable for China's realistic conditions to make up for the shortcomings of traditional teaching methods,among which the discussion method is widely used.At present,researches on discussion method in the field of biology teaching are far from enough.What's more,there are problems of unreasonable grouping in the implementation process,which makes discussion method fail to exert expected effects.In view of this,the author tried to apply the DISC personality test to the grouping process of discussion method,which can fully consider the personality of the students.This thesis will try to construct a discussion method based on the DISC personality test grouping,and apply it to senior high school biology teaching and explore its value for teaching.This study mainly conducts research from three aspects: Firstly,to comb the related literature of the discussion method and DISC personality test at home and abroad to understand its research and application status.Secondly,to propose a discussion method based on the DISC personality test grouping under the reference to current theories of discussion method and give suggestions to teaching process and attention points druing implementation.This study will take the section "Ecosystem's Material Cycle" as an example to design the implementation process in senior high school biology teaching.Thirdly,to carry out an empirical research.The author took the second grade students of class 23 and 24 of Yanzhou No.1 Middle School in Shandong Province as the research objects.Use questionnaire,tests,class observations and interviews to explore value of applying the DISC personality test grouping into the discussion method.And use SPSS25.0 to analyze the relevant data.The results of the study show that the application of the discussion teaching method based on the DISC personality test grouping in senior high school biology teaching can improve the teaching effect of the discussion method.But the successful implement of it needs teacher's full preparation and effective regulation of the class.Meanwhile,it can also promote students' learning interests,cooperative ability and critical thinking.But the effect on improving students' academic performance and language expression ability is not obvious.
