Objective:Executive function is a high-level cognitive process that controls and regulates other cognitive processes during the completion of complex cognitive tasks.It mainly includes three sub-functions: inhibition,refreshment and transformation.The age of6-11 is a key period for the development of executive function.Exercise intervention to promote children's executive function development is a hot research topic in the field of cognitive psychology,and badminton is popular in our country,has a solid foundation,but the research of the badminton effect on children's cognitive study is just a little,so the purpose of this experiment is to study the effect of badminton intervention on the executive function of primary school student and provide movement scheme to promote the development of the pupils perform functions.Research methods: The experimental subjects we selected 60 students from Shanghai city Baoshan District first Central Primary third grade.They were randomly divided into two groups.The experimental group was made up of 15 boys and 15 girls.The control group was also consisted of 15 boys and 15 girls.In these 12 weeks,we have taken badminton exercise intervention for the experimental group,twice a week,60 minutes each lesson,and the control group was trained by general physical education.Before and after the 12-week exercise intervention,Flanker task,1-back task and More-odd rat race task were respectively used to measure the inhibitory,refreshing,and switching subfunctions of primary school students.The data were analyzed by independent sample t-test and repeated measures ANOVA analysis.Research results:(1)According to independent sample t-test analysis,the baseline demographic variables,physical and mental health status and physical fitness data of the two groups were homogenous(p > 0.05).(2)Through repeated measurement ANOVA analysis of variance: before and after exercise intervention in the experimental group,there were no significant differences in inconsistency response time,consistency response time,inhibition ability response time,inconsistency accuracy and consistency accuracy time multiplied by group effect of pupils' inhibition function(p> 0.05).(3)Through repeated measurement ANOVA analysis of variance: there was a significant difference in the time of the refresh response multiplied by group effect of primary school students in the experimental group before and after exercise intervention(p < 0.01),while there was no significant difference in the time of the refresh accuracy multiplied by group effect(p > 0.05).(4)Through repeated measurement ANOVA analysis of variance: before and after the exercise intervention,unconversion reaction time of transformation function multiplied by effect of the experimental group is significant difference(p< 0.05),and the time of conversion reaction multiplied by the group effect is very significant difference(p < 0.01).The reaction time of conversion ability multiplied by the group effect is significant difference(p < 0.05).The time of no conversion accuracy and conversion accuracy multiplied by group effect had no significant difference(p >0.05).(5)Through repeated measurement ANOVA analysis of variance: there was no significant difference in the impact of badminton sport time multiplied by group effect(p > 0.05)on male and female pupils executive function.There was no significant difference of group main effect(p > 0.05).The time main effect of the inhibit function had no significant difference(p > 0.05).The time effect of the refresh function and transformation function is very significant difference(p < 0.01).Research Conclusions:(1)The 12-week badminton exercise intervention significantly improved the executive function of primary school students,which had significant effects on refresh function and conversion function,but had no significant effect on inhibition function gain of primary school students.(2)There was no gender difference in the influence of 12-week badminton exercise intervention on the executive function of primary school students.(3)The gain effect of badminton exercise intervention on pupils' executive function is better than that of ordinary physical education exercise intervention.
