Since the beginning of the 21 st century,countries around the world have paid more and more attention to the cultivation of talents.In 2001,China proposed to change the tendency of emphasis on knowledge transfer in basic teaching courses,so as to help students learn and develop correct outlook on life,world outlook and values while acquiring knowledge and skills.As an educator,our goal is to help students grow into capable and confident adults.Our students need to find ways to solve future problems in the process of learning and make clear the direction and goal of their own development.In order to achieve this development goal in today's ever-changing world,the key points of education must focus on critical thinking and problem-solving ability.at the same time,students must also learn to cooperate with others to deal with the work that needs to be done in the future.The classroom under the guidance of PBL teaching method makes it possible to achieve such training goals.Under the guidance of constructivism theory,situational learning theory and cooperative learning theory,this study attempts to use the research integration method to sort out the current development of PBL teaching method,focusing on the current application of geography in the field of basic education in China,and clarifying the related concepts and operation processes of PBL and PBL.Adopt the case analysis method to combine the PBL teaching method with the geography teaching in middle school to develop some teaching cases of Geography Compulsory Course I in the people's education edition.With the help of SPSS software,under the guidance of comparative analysis,the teaching practice is carried out in the experimental group and the control group,and the test paper results are analyzed by using the principle of geography education measurement and evaluation.The results show that the PBL teaching method can achieve the desired results,and there are differences between the experimental group and the control group.The former has a better grasp of high school geography knowledge,and the test scores have been significantly improved.In order to make better use of PBL teaching method in geography,this study also attempts to reflect and summarize some problems in practice,summarize some challenges to teachers and students in practical application,and put forward solutions.
