Power function,exponential function and logarithmic function are the three basic elementary functions which students first come into contact with when entering high school.It’s very important for students to learn this part to understand the concept of internalized function,master the method of systematic research on the nature of the function,and follow-up to learn other basic elementary elements functions.In order to better enable students to get the knowledge of power function,exponential function and logarithmic function,and help students solve learning difficulties,the author takes "High school power,exponentialand logarithmic functions based on SOLO classification theory and analysis of their causes" as the topic to study the difficulties of students in this part of the content.First of all,the author read and combed a lot about high school mathematics curriculum standards,high school mathematics new textbooks and related articles through the literature research,and analyzed the research status of SOLO classification theory and power function,exponential function and logarithmic function across the country and abroad.Based on SOLO classification theory and the requirements of high school curriculum standards,test papers on power function,exponential function and logarithmic function were produced,and the knowledge and abilities examined in the test were stratified.What’s more,through the distribution of test questions to check the students’ learning situation,furtherly analyze the data to summarize the students’ learning difficulties in this part of the content.And based on the learning difficulties,some teachers and students were interviewed,and combined with the follow-up observation method,the reasons for the learning difficulties were analyzed and summarized from the perspective of thinking habits and study habits.Finally,the author proposed solutions and teaching suggestions for students’ learning difficulties in power function,exponential function and logarithmic function according to the related theories of education and teaching.The research hope that provide reference value for improving the learning status of the three basic elementary functions of power function,exponential function and logarithmic function.It is concluded that the students’ difficulties in the content of power function,exponential function and logarithmic function include the following aspects through specific research.Difficulties in exponential and exponential function learning include: difficulty in application of exponential function monotonicity;difficulty in comprehensive application of exponential compound function.The learning difficulties of logarithm and logarithmic function include:difficulty in understanding the concept of logarithm and logarithmic function;difficulty in logarithmic operation;difficulty in application of monotonicity of logarithmic function.The academic difficulty of the relationship between the exponential function and the logarithmic function is mainly the inaccurate understanding of the inverse function concept;the academic difficulty of the power function is mainly the difficulty in recognizing the concept of the power function and the exponential function and the image.The author used the interview method to summarize the reasons for learning difficulties.Student factors: students’ weak numeracy skills,weak grasp of basic knowledge,and negative transfer of knowledge makes it difficult to distinguish concepts.Difficulty of knowledge itself:The content of this part is relatively comprehensive.Teacher factors: The teaching goal design is not targeted,lacks the training of students’ mathematical thinking methods,and the teaching method of mathematical concepts is single.Furthermore,the author used the tracking observation method to analyze and summarize the causes of learning difficulties.Finally,the author puts forward some suggestions based on the reasons of learning difficulties. |
