Since the beginning of the 21 st century,with the development of society and the prosperity of the economy,people's conception of consumption has changed and living standard has been obviously improved.More and more people have begun to realize the importance of health.With the strong policy support of the country,the fitness industry is rising rapidly to meet the needs of the market.At the same time of rapid development,how the club can stand out from the crowd in the fierce competition of fitness industry and achieve the goal of long-term corporate profit has become an urgent problem to be solved.As a coastal open city with rapid economic and cultural development in the north,Tianjin has won the favor of chain operation of health clubs.This paper takes the most representative Powerhouse Fitness Club(Olympic Sports Center Store)as the object of study,combined with Michael Porter's value chain theory model,the value chain of Powerhouse Fitness Club(Olympic Sports Center Store)is divided into basic homework and auxiliary homework,and analyze the activities in each link of the club value chain by using literature data method,field research method,expert interview method,questionnaire survey method,statistical analysis method,.It is concluded that the strategic links that Powerhouse Fitness Club(Olympic Sports Center Store)can really create value and establish a competitive advantage in the fitness industry are insale service,marketing,after-sales service and human resource management.Powerhouse Fitness Club(Olympic Sports Center Store)shows the professionalism of the brand in the fitness service of the core project,but it is still lacking in marketing and human resources.In addition,in the operation and maintenance links where customer complaints are more concentrated,the club still has big problems.To sum up,the club should optimize the marketing strategy,implement reasonable pricing strategy,improve promotion strategy,improve supporting services,strengthen staff management,pay attention to the shaping of corporate culture atmosphere,and clarify the job responsibilities of employees.The study of Powerhouse Fitness Club(Olympic Sports Center Store)from the perspective of value chain is helpful for the club to find value,create value and improve the long-term profitability and core competence of the club.At the same time,it is also expected that the study of this paper can provide specific ideas and reference for other commercial fitness clubs to study the value chain management and even gain competitive advantage.
