The in-depth development of a new round of curriculum reform and the general implementation of the geography curriculum standards for senior high schools(2017Edition)have triggered a wave of development of geography curriculum resources.As an important off-campus geography curriculum resource,the development and application of current events is of great value and significance for realizing the general goal of "morality education",giving full play to the value of geography education and conforming to the examination trend of paying attention to social reality in college entrance examination.It is a hot spot in the current academic research.However,in the era of information and network,there are a lot of current events.There are few researches on how to collect current events through the network and how to apply them in geography teaching.This research is the application research of current events in high school geography teaching,mainly discusses how to apply current events in high school geography teaching practice.First of all,the author uses the method of literature analysis,widely analyzes the current events and its application in senior high school geography teaching related literature,understands the current current events in senior high school geography teaching application achievements and shortcomings,comprehensive analysis of the current events in senior high school geography teaching is the inevitable development trend of geography education reform.Secondly,by using the method of questionnaire survey,this paper selects the front-line geography teachers in Qinghai,Gansu,Hainan and other provinces as the survey objects,and investigates and analyzes the application of current events in high school geography teaching.Finally,it puts forward the collection method of current events and the application mode of current events in high school geography teaching,and makes specific teaching design display on this basis.The results show that geography teachers have a high degree of recognition of current events,and have a good attitude feedback on current events teaching;The effect of current events on stimulating students' interest has been verified,but its effect on improving students' comprehensive quality is not significant;The network collection method,the sorting method according to the theme and teaching materials,and the implementation mode of geography classroom and extracurricular practice mode based on current events meet the demands of geography teachers to get rid of the application dilemma of current events to a certain extent,and provide guidance for geography teachers to apply current events in high school geography teaching.
