With the launching of a renewed national curriculum reform,core literacy is gradually taking over the central position of education and teaching reform.Core literacy is the concentrated embodiment of students' theoretical knowledge,key abilities and essential characters,which plays an important role in their lifelong learning and development.The selection of course content,compilation of teaching materials and the design of teaching objectives need to focus on the improvement and implementation of students' core literacy.However,for the information technology curriculum,the standard textbook of information technology currently used in senior school is the Guangdong Education Edition Textbook2004,and it is hard to integrate with core literacy because of certain difficulties and limitations.To achieve better development of students' information literacy and full implementation of the fundamental tasks on moral establishment and people cultivation,this study designed and developed school-based curriculum of information technology aimed at the cultivation of core literacy,which is based on the full consideration of the actual situation about education and teaching in our senior school.This can enrich the school-based curriculum system,and meet the students' needs in learning and personalized growth.The main methods used in this study are literature research,questionnaire survey,interview and observation.First of all,this study investigated the research status about school-based curriculum in domestic and abroad;defined relative concepts,such as core literacy,core literacy of information technology,school-based curriculum development;andsorted out the theoretical knowledge related to school-based curriculum development by searching and reading relevant literature.Then,this study analyzed the students' learning situation and needs as well as the curriculum resources inside and outside the school using questionnaire survey.In addition,the curriculum goals were set according to the requirements of national curriculum and new curriculum standards;the teaching content selection was completed based on the results from questionnaire survey and the curriculum goals;Class 3and 4,Senior 2 were selected to implement the school-based curriculum teaching.Finally,many aspects about school-based curriculum,including the teaching effectiveness and improvement of students' core literacy,were assessed using a series of evaluation means and methods at the end of the curriculum.Through this study,the following conclusions can be drawn.Firstly,it is essential to develop the school-based curriculum of information technology in senior high school.The core literacy and school-based curriculum are the focus of educational research in the last two years due to the requirements of the new curriculum standards and the renewed curriculum reform.However,few researches were carried out on non college entrance examination subjects such as information technology.This study provides a reference and example for the research on school-based curriculum of information technology based on the core literacy development from the aspects of preliminary investigation and analysis,curriculum objectives setting,teaching content selection,teaching resource integration,teaching process implementation,and the comprehensive evaluation of curriculum.Secondly,the school-based curriculum of information technology in senior high school promotes the improvement of students' core literacy of information technology.From the comprehensive evaluation of the school-based curriculum itself,teaching effectiveness,the students' score of pre-test and post-test,the daily classroom performance and the questionnaire survey results of the school-based curriculum,the students' information literacy in the aspects of information awareness,computational thinking,digital learning and innovation,and social responsibility of information was improved to varying degrees after a semester of school-based curriculum learning.Notablely,the improvement in all aspects is closely related to the content of school-based curriculum.
