The strength of reasoning ability determines the depth of students' thinking.Only with basic reasoning ability can students grasp the relationship between mathematical knowledge.The curriculum standard of our country has put forward the clear request to the cultivation of students' reasoning ability,and the development of students' reasoning ability runs through the whole process of mathematics learning.In the process of mathematics teaching,the cultivation of students' reasoning ability is not only the requirement of the new curriculum standard to the teaching process,but also the requirement of the times to education.This paper selects some students of grade two in a middle school in chengdu City as the research object.Using the methods of literature research and questionnaire research,combined with PTA scale and solo classification evaluation theory,the reasoning ability level of junior high school students is divided into five levels,and the test paper is collected and sorted out,and the following results are obtained.(1)The average level of reasoning is 3.325,which is above the average level.It can be seen that most of the students' reasoning level is in the general level and higher level.(2)From different fields,there are significant differences between probability and algebra,probability and geometry,algebra and geometry.The average score of probability dimension is the highest,followed by algebra,and geometric average score is the lowest,which are related to the development of students' thinking.(3)There is no significant difference between male and female in the total score,but the average score of male is higher than that of female.There is no significant difference in probability,algebra and geometry,and the average score of boys is higher than that of girls,which indicates that the logical reasoning ability of boys ingrade two is slightly higher than that of girls.According to the research results of this test paper,it is found that there are differences in students' learning ability and learning habits,and teachers ignore gender differences in teaching.Teachers should understand the difference between men and women,in the teaching process to achieve the difference between men and women,because of "different" teaching,teaching students in accordance with their aptitude,improve students' comprehensive ability of mathematics.Therefore,at the level of teachers,teachers are encouraged to pay attention to the cultivation of reasoning ability in teaching design and classroom teaching,advocate "heuristic" teaching and variant teaching,and constantly strengthen logical reasoning ability;at the student level,strengthen students' cognition of mathematical reasoning and argumentation,and increase the practice of open-ended questions,cultivate reverse thinking,jump out of the shackles of inherent thinking,and help students more In depth understanding of knowledge content,expand the depth of thinking,improve students' mathematical core literacy.
