Growth mindest is proposed by American psychology professor Dweck. As Dweck described,Individuals who own the growth mindset regard difficulties and setbacks as beneficial challenges and exercises in the growth process, they take the process as a pleasure and take up the challenge bravely and persevere.Relevant research has proved that growth mindest has an important influence on academic performance, career achievement and so on.In recent years, teaching and research on growth mindest has gradually increased in China. There are still few researches connected growth mindest with sports and sports performance now.In the first half of this year, under the special background of the novel coronavirus, the graduation is coming in high school. How do the growth mindest affect the senior physical education students on the sports professional performance,on their emotion regulation strategies and positive coping? As their training has been greatly impacted. How they deal with these ? How they regulate emotions?Whether they have the courage to accept challenges and cope positively? How is their growth mindset and performance? All of these we are concerned about. So,our research focuses on growth mindest, incorporates the cognitive reappraisal strategy and the positive coping style, analyzes the correlation between them, analyzes their impact on sports professional performance, looks for the ways how they work.By the questionnaire of the Growth Mindest Scale,Emotion Regulation Questionnaire and Simple Coping Style Questionnaire, more than 900 senior physical education students in the main urban, suburban, and other counties' high school of Chongqing were surveyed online.SPSS20.0 used for descriptive statistics, analysis of variance, regression analysis, moderating effect and intermediary effect analysis.AMOS25.0 usedfor fit test and intermediary effect test on the structural model, our research results are as follows:1.In general, senior physical education students in high school tend to growth mindest, but they can also improve. They use cognitive reappraisal strategy significantly more than expressive suppression strategy, and use positive coping style significantly more than negative coping style.2.Growth mindest, cognitive reappraisal, positive coping, and sports professional performance are not significantly different between region and majors.Region and major differences did not show significant moderating effect.3.Growth mindest, cognitive reappraisal, positive coping and sports professional performance are significantly positively correlated;expressive suppression is also significantly positively correlated with growth mindest and professional performance;but negative coping and growth mindest are significantly negatively correlated.4.Cognitive reappraisal plays a part of intermediary role between growth mindest and professional performance.5.Positive coping plays a part of the intermediary role between growth mindest and professional performance.6.In the case of cognitive reappraisal and positive coping as an intermediary, growth mindest has no direct effect on sports professional performance;but cognitive reappraisal and positive coping have multiple mediating effects between growth mindest and professional performance. This research provides reference materials and new ideas for educators to understand the overall situation of physical education students and promote the sports professional performance. It also provides other researchers with empirical reference data.It is also beneficial to study the structure of growth mindest and sports performance for more in the future.
