| Ox college is an independent college,established in 2001.It is a full-time undergraduate independent college sponsored by kg University,invested by Yunnan CT group,examined by Yunnan Provincial Department of education and approved by the Ministry of education of the People’s Republic of China.With the transformation of higher education from "elite education" to "mass education",the competition among higher education students is fierce,and the competition in Colleges and universities is in the final analysis the competition of professional talents training.The choice of students’ major is the important choice of life,and the setting and training of majors in Colleges and universities is very important.Ox college is an independent college,established in 2001.It is a full-time undergraduate independent college sponsored by kg University,invested by Yunnan CT group,examined by Yunnan Provincial Department of education and approved by the Ministry of education of the People’s Republic of China.With the transformation of higher education from "elite education" to "mass education",the competition among higher education students is fierce,and the competition in Colleges and universities is in the final analysis the competition of professional talents training.The choice of students’ major is the important choice of life,and the setting and training of majors in Colleges and universities is very important.The choice of major is subject to a lot of factors,graduates emerge in an endless stream,employment pressure is also growing,the choice of major is becoming more and more important.Based on the questionnaire of students’ major selection in ox college,this paper explores and puts forward corresponding countermeasures according to the survey results.Based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory and expectation theory,this paper analyzes the relevant environment(political,economic,social and cultural,scientific and technological environment),advantages and disadvantages,opportunities and threats of ox college by using PEST analysis method and SWOT analysis method.Through a series of explorations,it is found that when students choose their major,the frequency of employment prospect(popular major)is the highest point 552,accounting for61.4%;the frequency of interests and hobbies is 250,accounting for 27.8%;thefrequency of family background factor is 97,accounting for 10.8%;the frequency of other factors is 47,accounting for 5%.Based on the perspective of students’ major selection,the main factors considered in major selection are as follows: 1.Popular major tendency;2.Interest inclination;3.University ranking factor.In view of the main influencing factors,the paper puts forward the following countermeasures: The countermeasures are to enhance the popular specialty group of brand construction,to diversify and coordinate the development of specialties,to strengthen the construction of teaching staff,to strengthen international cooperation in running schools,to broaden the sources of school running funds,and to guarantee the development of specialties. |
