In the 1980 s,the proposed concepts,definitions as well as the viewpoints on classification under the theory of information processing were widely recognized.The term of knowledge can be divided into declarative knowledge,which defines things and procedural knowledge,which describes how to achieve things.The latter,procedural knowledge,can be further divided into simple operational skills and more complicated cognitive strategies.Hence,any knowledge cannot be simply classified into merely one type.Especially in the teaching process,as for the understanding of linear function and its image during junior middle school,students’ perception about what is linear function and their mastery of the methods to study its image,under the guidance of their teachers,belongs to two different types of knowledge.However,if the teacher merely lead students to understand this knowledge point,there might be an mechanical way of learning among students who only recite the definition and repeatedly browsing through related tasks.Therefore,the introduction of viewpoints on knowledge classification to pave the way for the study of key and difficult points,plays an essential part for mathematics teaching today.Based on the viewpoints on knowledge classification and every learning points contained under the chapter of “Linear Function” of eighth grade mathematics textbook published by Beijing Normal University(2012),the paper divides the knowledge into declarative knowledge,procedural knowledge and strategic knowledge,while the corresponding teaching strategies will be proposed thereafter.Moreover,the corresponding teaching fragments will be analyzed combined with case study method to put forward the view that the understanding of characterization and nature on the problem during teaching of declarative knowledge and the stimulative effect of variants on operational skills during the teaching of procedural knowledge should be given significant attention,while effective cognitive strategies to study the problem should be commanded.Finally,through the activity in which teachers,by adopting their our teaching methods based on their own understanding of the teaching materials,under the traditional teaching mode,linear function teaching based on the knowledge classification theory by will be verified for its effectiveness.The specific and detailed research content is mainly as follows:1.Theoretical analysis.In this part,the paper will mainly illustrates the theoretical basis of knowledge classification theory and the criteria of knowledge classification according to personal perspective.2.Knowledge classification on whole chapter of Linear Function,which is mentioned above,and take a further step to put forward viewpoints on teaching designing for each classifications of knowledge.Then the analysis on teaching strategies of each teaching fragments will be conducted and presented.3.To adopt the method of case study to clarify the effectiveness of teaching,and to find paths to understand the content of teaching materials and to analyze the knowledge given in the textbook. |
