| Exercises are an important part of the textbook auxiliary system.They are not only the main means for students to master knowledge and develop their abilities,but also the main way for teachers to evaluate teaching and adjust.With the continuous deepening of the new curriculum reform,the research on history textbook exercises is increasing day by day.Many researchers have combed the development process of exercises in recent decades and put forward some teaching suggestions from the perspective of psychology and pedagogy.Throughout these research results,there are the following shortcomings:there is more research on history exercises in junior high school,less research on history exercises in high school;more research on historical exercises in the old version,and less research on historical exercises in the new version;more research on the surface of the exercises,but less on the in-depth study of the exercises.In order to deepen the study of exercises,shift the focus of research from junior high school to high school,and learn about the exercises in the unified edition of high school history textbooks in time,mainly using literature,statistics,survey,and interview methods for the overview and design goals of the exercises and use it to conduct a detailed study.The exercises in the unified high school history textbook "Chinese and Foreign History Outline" are mainly composed of[Thinking Points][Learning Thinking Window]and[Inquiry and Expansion]columns,which are distributed in and after class.Among them,the[Inquiry and Expansion]column has the largest number of questions,followed by[Learning and Thinking],and[Thinking Points]has the smallest number of questions.The number of closed exercises has decreased and the number of open exercises has increased,indicating that the unified edition of the textbook Pay more attention to cultivating students’ historical thinking and improving students’ ability to use knowledge.The textbooks are arranged in a general history style,which fully reflects the curriculum standards and norms.Therefore,the exercise design has the goal of strengthening the core literacy of the subject and improving the level of academic quality.From the four aspects of the type,content,themes and materials of the exercises,the design of the exercises is diverse.Through student questionnaires and teacher interviews,I learned that the new textbook exercises have the advantages of broadening horizons,exercising thinking,and consolidating enthusiasm for inquiry,but there are some problems in teaching practice.For example,the form of exercises is monotonous,and students tend to lose interest in doing exercises;difficulty of exercises,students have difficulty doing problems and so on.In view of the problems in the exercises,relevant suggestions are made from the perspective of designers and users.Finally,take the 16th lesson "Two Opium Wars" in the compiled high school history textbook "The Outline of Chinese and Foreign History"(Volume 1)as an example.Through specific teaching design,we can deeply understand the value of exercises and learn to use exercises to develop students’ comprehensive ability. |
