Internship is an important part of practical teaching in colleges and universities.It is an important way to help college students understand course teaching knowledge,understand the reality of social production,and improve their own practical ability.College students tend to build new interpersonal relationships and complete new and challenging internship tasks through internships,and then gain new perspectives and new identities to achieve individual growth and development.In what ways does the internship promote the self-expansion of college students,how to evaluate the self-expansion and how the self-expansion will affect college students' job hunting.This research will focus on these issues to carry out in order to provide corresponding guidance and suggestions for college students' internship teaching and job hunting.Based on the analysis of existing literature at home and abroad,this study used qualitative interviews to select 20 college students with internship experience as interview subjects,explored the specific performance of college students' self-expansion in internship,proposed a four-factor model of college students' self-expansion in internship.Then,this study used exploratory factor analysis of 236 predictive questionnaires and confirmatory factor analysis of 400 questionnaires to compile a questionnaire to develop a questionnaire of college students' self-expansion in internship;and used this questionnaire to investigate the current situation of college students' self-expansion in internship and the differences in different internship characteristics,and explored the intermediary mechanism between self-expansion in internship and job search efficacy.Preliminary results of this study show:(1)The college students' self-expansion in internship in our country consists of four dimensions,including the change of thinking and concept,the increase of knowledge and experience,the enhancement of personal ability and the improvement of self-awareness.(2)The self-expansion questionnaire in internship which was based on the self-expansion model consists of eighteen items.The internal consistency coefficient is 0.930,and the internal consistency coefficient of each dimension is between 0.783-0.874;Confirmatory factor analysis shows that the questionnaire has a good fit index:?2/df=1.819,RMSEA=0.045,CFI=0.949,GFI=0.939,AGFI=0.919,indicating that the questionnaire has a good structural validity and can be used as an effective measurement tool for measuring self-expansion in internship.(3)College students' self-expansion in internship is generally at the upper-middle level,indicating that most college students feel that they can expand themselves through internship experience.The self-expansion in internship differs in different internship characteristics:the self-expansion in internship and some dimensions have significant differences between one internship and two,and the scores of two internships are higher than one internship;Compared with college students whose internship duration is less than two months,college students whose internship duration is more than two months have a significantly higher self-expansion level.(4)College students' self-expansion in internship can significantly and positively predict their job search clarity and job search self-efficacy,and job search clarity plays a mediating role in the positive relationship between internship self-expansion and job search self-efficacy.
