Research On The Teaching Of "Expanding Space" Column In Junior High School Moral And Rule Of Law Textbooks

After the ideological and moral course of junior middle school was renamed as moral and rule of law course,the new edition of moral and rule of law textbook compiled by the Ministry of education was published and put into use.The new edition breaks through the tradition in typesetting.Besides the text,it is composed of six columns."Expanding space" column as one of them,located at the end of each box,belongs to "extracurricular expanding" activity design,which has certain comprehensiveness,extensibility,complexity and creativity.Its purpose is to increase the practicality,expand the learning from the curriculum to life,through allowing students to participate in all kinds of practical activities,to highlight the main body of students,realize the combination of in class and out of class,and cultivate students’ action ability.The application of "expanding space" column is of great significance for cultivating students’ core quality and improving teaching effectiveness.Through the investigation and analysis of the teaching current situation of the column "Expanding Space" in the middle school morality and rule of law textbooks,this paper found some problems existing in the current teaching of this column,and put forward relevant teaching strategies from different perspectives.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this paper mainly carries out research from the following parts.The first part is an overview of the column "Expanding Space" in the middle school morality and rule of law textbooks.Firstly,it discusses the connotation of the column of "expanding space" in the textbook.Secondly,113 columns of "Expanding Space" are divided into four types: planning type,inquiry type,understanding type and practice type.Finally,it analyzes the significance of carrying out the column of "expanding space" teaching,which is mainly conducive to enriching and expanding the course content,highlighting the main body of students,realizing the combination of inside and outside class,helping to implement the curriculum standard requirements,and cultivating the core quality of students.The second part is the analysis of the teaching status of the column "Expanding Space" in the middle school morality and rule of law textbooks.According to the survey,the column of "Expanding Space" has achieved certain results in the actual teaching process.For example,teachers have carried out some practical activities by using this column,and played a positive role in guiding students to apply what they have learned into practice.But there are some problems.First of all,teachers rarely use this column,and it is rarely carried out in actual teaching.Secondly,teachers in this column teaching in a single form,mechanization and other problems.At last.The teaching practice of this column is not ideal.The reasons for the above problems are the teacher’s attention is not enough,the use of insufficient ability.Students’ interest is not high,and their understanding is biased.The third part is the strategy of optimizing the teaching column of "Expanding Space" in the middle school morality and rule of law textbooks.In view of the above problems,after analysis and research,the author puts forward the strategy of optimizing the teaching column of "Expanding Space".Specific teaching strategies are as follows.First,teachers attach importance to the value of columns and enhance their ability and accomplishment.Second,based on learning situation,strengthen guidance.Third,we should make flexible use of "expanding space" before,during and after class.Fourth,improve the evaluation system,establish incentive mechanism.The fourth part,junior high school moral and rule of law teaching materials "expand space" column related teaching cases,respectively presents different types of column teaching cases as teaching reference,in order to better play the value of "expand space" column.
