Group text reading is a kind of reading teaching mode that students read and collectively construct this topic under the organization and guidance by teachers and finally reach a consensus after selecting a series of articles around a topic for discussion.Proposed by Zhao Jingzhong firstly,this mode was practiced by Taiwan teacher Chen Yizhi and Chinese mainland teacher Jiang Junjin,and a lot of front-line teachers have also applied the group text reading teaching to the teaching practices of ancient poems,novels and fables.After practices,it was observed that group text reading teaching can enrich students’ reading experience,develop students’ thinking,improve students’ expression ability and play significant roles in improving teachers’ professional literacy and promoting teaching reform.However,in the teaching of chanting history and cherishing ancient poems,single poem is mainly taught,and students are less reading of literature and can’t grasp the characteristics of poems on this subject.Through applying the group text reading teaching mode to the the chanting history poems and cherishing ancient poems,it is necessary to make up for the shortcoming of only teaching single poem,highlight students’ dominate role,encourage students to make real thinking and communicate boldly and express their views in the collective construction.Therefore,taking the group text reading teaching for chanting history and cherishing ancient poems as object of research,this paper tries to explore feasible and effective operational methods and strategies of group text reading teaching by using literature review,questionnaire survey,interview and action research,so as to enrich the teaching mode of Chinese poetry.This paper consists of five chapters.The introduction mainly summarizes the origin of this topic,research significance,research review and research methods.In the first chapter,the group text reading teaching mode for chanting history and cherishing ancient poems in middle schools is reviewed.This paper sets forth the definition of chanting history and cherishing ancient poems and concepts and components of the group text reading teaching mode,sorts out and analyzes chanting history and cherishing ancient poems in the middle school textbooks of the editions of the Ministry of Education and PEP and high school textbooks of the edition of the Ministry of Education and introduces the theoretical basis of group reading teaching.In the second chapter,the teaching situation of chanting history and cherishing ancient poems in the middle school textbooks is investigated and analyzed.For the clear understanding of the teaching situation of chanting history and cherishing ancient poems in middle schools at this stage,the questionnaire review is conducted among teachers and students as the data support,and the reasons causing this teaching situation in many aspects are analyzed.The third chapter is to explore the application strategy of reading teaching of ancient poetry group in middle school.The strategy consists of three parts: Centering on the goal,setting the topic,selecting the group,expanding reading,constructing with heart and improving students’ appreciation ability.The fourth chapter applies the specific implementation steps and strategies to the class practices of the teaching of chanting history and cherishing ancient poems,presents the thoughts and processes of teaching design in detail by teaching cases,observes the issues to be focused on during the group text reading teaching and forms teaching reflections,so as to provide the front-line teachers with a reference.The research in this paper is of some application value in teaching because its makes contribution to improving the teaching of chanting history and cherishing ancient poems by front-lien teachers,making up for the shortcoming of teaching only single poem,providing new ideas for teachers,expanding students reading quantity,increase students reading speed,deepen students understanding of chanting history and cherishing ancient poems and promoting the development and improvement of thinking.
