| With the development of historical education research,historical comparative pedagogy has attracted more and more attention from scholars at home and abroad,especially the comparative study of historical textbooks in different countries.The teaching content of world history is universal.Studying the differences of world history content arrangement in middle school history textbooks of different countries in the world is helpful for us to improve the teaching of world history content in middle school and improve the teaching quality of history in middle school.American middle school history textbooks have their own characteristics,and there are many things we can learn from.The American Mc Dougal Littell textbook selected for the thesis is the most recognized classic junior high school history textbook among many textbooks in the United States.Therefore,the thesis takes the unified edition of the junior high school history textbook “World History”Volume 1 and 2 and the American Mc Dougal Littell version of“World History: Ancient Through Early Modern Times”as the research object.By comparing the arrangement of world history content between the two countries,it hopes to promote the improvement of the quality of Chinese middle school history teaching.First of all,on the basis of the current research situation in the field of carding,the paper explains the necessity of comparing the contents of world history in junior high school history textbooks between China and the United States.Secondly,it discusses the similarities in the arrangement of world history content in the junior high school history textbooks between China and the United States from the aspects of auxiliary system,pictures,and writing styles;focusing on the analysis and discussion of the differences in the arrangement of world history content in the junior high school history textbooks between the two countries:The first is to explain the differences in the layout of the two editions of history textbooks in terms of content layout and content expression,and the second is to analyze the differences in the arrangement of auxiliary texts from three aspects: the pre-text,side-by-text and post-text of the textbook.After that,the reasons for the differences in the layout of history textbooks in junior high schools between the two countries were explored from the background of the compilation of history textbooks,historical training goals,history teaching methods,and cognition of world history issues.Based on this,targeted suggestions are put forward for the teaching of the content of world history in junior high schools in our country.Stones from other mountains can attack jade.By comparing the arrangement of world history content in junior high school history textbooks between China and the United States,this study puts forward feasible suggestions,which will help broaden the vision of comparative history education research,improve the teaching of world history content in junior high school,deepen students’ understanding of world history content,So as to promote the further development of history teaching in middle school. |
