The innovation and progress of new media technology has changed the way of information presentation and dissemination,and also changed the way of interpersonal communication.With the progress and development,it also gradually enhances the dependence of the city image on the Internet in the aspects of presentation,communication,maintenance and construction.Therefore,the characteristics of high degree of Internet information openness and rapid information diffusion also increase the out of control of city image when relying on the Internet for positive presentation,and face various unpredictable risks.In recent years,all kinds of network public opinion events which are easy to cause public discussion occur frequently,and the city image crisis caused by such events has a huge impact.In this context,how to properly and effectively deal with the crisis of city image and strengthen the ability of city image restoration is a serious problem in the current urban development.Therefore,it is necessary to analyze the city image crisis and repair under the background of network public opinion.In this paper,literature analysis and case analysis are used to explore the crisis and repair of city image under the background of network public opinion,to find out the problems and put forward the corresponding countermeasures.This research is divided into the following parts: the first part is the introduction,which describes the overall background,research progress at home and abroad,innovation and shortcomings of this paper.The second part is the concept and characteristics of network public opinion and the concept of city image,which comprehensively discusses the various crises of city image under the background of network public opinion and the ways and processes to deal with the crisis.The third part is the crisis of city image under the background of network public opinion.It summarizes the crisis from three aspects of government image,tourism image and citizen image,and analyzes the causes of the crisis.The fourth part is the analysis of the status quo of city image restoration under the background of network public opinion,and summarizes its effectiveness from three aspects of government,media and opinion leaders.Then it points out the existing problems from the government,media and opinion leaders.The fifth part is the Countermeasures of city image restoration under the background of network public opinion,including strengthening the government’s disposal of network public opinion to effectively deal with the city image crisis;Strengthen the advantages of media communication,effectively guide the network public opinion;Cultivate urban opinion leaders and make rational use of public opinion guidance ability..
